//////////////// GIVEAWAY CLOSED ////////////////

I made it ! I escaped !
As you may have noticed, some of us got out. Furhtermore, with loot.
But as you know it is just the beginning. The hardest now is to not be pulled back in. For that purpose I need to travel light, erase my tracks by using decoys, and find shelter among equally ill-aligned folks.

1) In order to travel light I intend to share my loot : I have three giftcodes to give forward.

2) Each code can be redeemed for up to a 9-caps game before december 2015 (and by doing so I hope you will divert the attention of my pursuers, dear decoys)

3) I will only share my loot with people providing valuable information about reliable bad guys to help me in my escape by answering this : Which game has a really great bunch of antagonists in your opinion, and why ? ( for example : the Metroïd in Super Metroïd, the dark elves in age of wonders, Wesker ...)

Rules :
- I am a hard-boiled escapee, I don't take advice from rookies. You have to be registered in gog since 2014 at least (there might be exceptions but you would need lots of 'connections')
- I hate snitches, if you spoil any plot I am not already aware of, I will take you out [of the constest]. Don't do : "I like that mysterious bad guy in this game, fun fact : he's your father"
- If you end up as one of the three helpful winners, you can do whatever you want with the code. Advice : have it redeemed "quickly" because once my trail goes cold (in one or two months) why wouldn't I try to get my loot back ? ;-D
- No Honor among thieves. Positive Rep required. Preferably a solid 20 rep. Again : "connections".

- If you're *in* say 'My sister has a friend whose friend'
- If you're *out* say "HE'S HEADED THIS WAY !" you snitch. And down-rep this post. I mean it.
[special new rule] - If you're Triock or DeMignon, you're *not in* because why abide by the rules ? You chaotic bumpers !

- The contest will be closed in a week (and a few days, I will bump that). The 3 winners will be chosed by a mix of personal taste and random.org. You can enter for someone else.

More edits to come, as usual.

i really like kefka in ffVI, although i will tell you DO NOT CONTACT HIM
he's a mad man. A few literal quotes from him are "there is no sound like thousands screaming in unison" or "this hamlet has to much boring and not enough burning, torch it" and best of all "there is sand on my boots" (while standing in the middle of a desert.

the force unleashed doesn't really count i guess, but emperor palpatine is just always great.

The ratchet and clank series has had some great villains, like nefarious and drek.

Nice entry, I don't have much knowledge of FF games, that's something I should try to correct 'at some point'. I just played the ninth, methinks.

Are you telling me that your sister has a friend whose friend is Emperor Palpatine ? That's ...dark :-)

My sister has a friend whose friend has a cousin who can help you escape!

Now if only i had a sister, but, oh well...

Great bunch of antagonists, eh? Let's see...

1) Diablo (1+2). All those demons and prime or lesser evils... THE, antagonists! They always come back after being killed, stronger than ever, possess the good hero who won against them and cause even greater chaos at the sequel!
2) Golden Axe Series. Death Adder and his cult, or warriors army, are some of the most memorable antagonists around! Death Adder is immortal, his cannibals and mages are a death cult powerful enough to resurrect him, his warriors are top notch (especially the fat-bellied ones, the knights and amazons), plus the raised skeletons augment his force drastically! Very powerful faction!
3) Streets or Rage Remake 5.1! The Syndicate and the enigmatic Mr.X! The perfect antagonists! Is not too much fantasy, it actually reminds real life mafia and crime orgs! Very atmospheric and nostalgic. And those guys are good at causing trouble and raising crime rates!
4) Pokemon Generation 1 and 2, and/or remakes! Team Rocket! "To protect the world from devastation..."! Those klutzes always fail to get the job done and are easily beaten by children! Just don't rely on them for escaping; oops, my bad, i made a mistake, actually, THOSE guys, are EXPERTS in escaping (with the speed of light!)!
5) The Akatsuki from Naruto and Madara! Full Burst wasn't canon and was average, Revolution was a filler piece of sh*t, now number 4 is going to rock hard, but alas, is for steam only... This S rank, badass, private group of superhuman ninja, is assembled by unique individuals who have gone rogue and criminals. They are experts in anything from fighting, to bombing, to immortality, to spying, to firing flames from their eyes (literally!), and so on. And their leader is a seemingly retarded prankster, who goes through a lot of effort to appear like an idiot, a klutz, a good for nothing, while near the end of the series, becomes that fictional universe's equivalent of "god" and saves everyone before dying (and after dying, too).
6) Your dear homies from San Andreas. They sold you out to the cops, made you their bitch and errand boy, their disposable tool and fool, so they were allowed to profit from crime undisturbed, themselves, while passing all blame on you exclusively! Plus murdered half your family... You are going to love blasting their brains out of their skulls!
7) Mortal Kombat series! I highly believe this is the game with the most antagonists ever! Try "beating" them all (up)! Heh heh... Mostly ninjas or outworld soldiers.
8) Castlevania Legacy of Darkness. MANY antagonists. From that evil witch who sacrificed her own baby to gain power, to Gilles de Rais resurrected as a vampire, to death and all their evil minions, this is another case of many antagonists running wild. Play hide and seek or running with the chainsaw wielding Frankenstein in the gardens, get chased by skeletal motorbikemen, play dog battle against your werewolf rival, you have lots of competition in this dark, faqed up sh*tstorm. Plus the main antagonist, dracula, awakens in his full form (VERY hard fight, one of the very few games in which he gets all his power restored).
9) The Suffering: Prison is Hell. Your own self is your antagonist, as well as the illusions, the hallucinations, the monsters and the people unlucky enough (or lucky, if you choose to) to run into you. You choose who is your antagonist. And some who are anyway, might help you (or die trying), like Horace or Killjoy. This game is a mess. You HAVE to play through it.
While some of the games fall a little flat, the Templars in the Assassin's Creed games are great as a concept. Very cool use of deception and historical reasoning behind them. So I guess you would say... my sister has a friend whose friend is a Templar ;)
'My sister has a friend whose friend told me to go for Darth Malak. So long as you aren't trying to usurp him he won't kill you. In fact he will push you to be stronger, better, faster, more powerful than you can ever imagine.

I still remember Ismail Vilehand from Diablo II :D. I imagined him just hanging about chatting with his other council members, them teasing him about his hand, when this guy bursts in and starts blasting at him.
Poor Vilehand...

Anyhow..
My sister has a friend whose friend is Malcom from Legend of Kyrandia. I love how he evolved from a random maniac villain in the first game to a sympathetic guy in the 3rd, who you totally got (with the protagonist of the first Kyrandia game turning out to be kind of a pompous ass :D). Anyhow, Malcom, despite probably being a little insane (spending years as a statue will do that to you) is quite cunning and clever!

My sister also has a friend whose friend is...well, not friend. More like wannabe slave master :D. Anyhow, GLaDOS from Portal is a shoe-in for rootable (in all senses :D) bad guy/gal. She/it's funny, megalomaniacally evil and simultaneously adorably naive.
My sister has a friend whose friend said you should contact the ultimate bad guy: Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.
Not in, but thanks. :p
My sister has a friend whose friend went on holidays to Mêlée Island, where she met LeChuck.

Good old shool pirate LeChuck, from the Monkey Island game series (warning: I have not played all of the games) is a classic bad guy, in that he is bad. Really bad! And he makes no excuses for it.
However, he is also given a past and a motivation that helps flesh out the character. He wants Elaine for himself. Guybrush gets in his way and consequently becomes his mortal enemy. (Hey, he just stole his girl; we can all relate to that! You too would do the same if you were a decent pirate!)
Also, LeChuck is admired by his crewmen (well... Largo at least).

Ron Gilbert (the game creator) did not stop at the clichés when creating LeChuck. He mixed in other traits, like the ability of dealing with voodoo-fu!

We all loved LeChuck as the bad guy. To me, he may be the perfect antagonist. He is evil but gullible and also quite funny. That is all fine within the game world. However I also see him as the Darth Vader of adventure games: he is a bad guy, but too cool for us to really hate. And that pushes our desire to triumph over him. I'll stop here, but I'm sure Freud would have something to say about this...
My sister has a friend whose friend knows Arthas (Warcraft III). You can't go wrong with this guy; once a great hero that everyone would want by their side, but eventually he got corrupted and became a dark, vicious badass dude. You'll definitely need his help.. ;-)

My sister has a friend whose friend says Liquid Snake is looking for some partners ;) You don't need me to tell you in which game you can contact him, right? o.o
Great giveaway Potzato! Not in, but +1
My sister has a friend whose friend knows a guy who knows people who can help other people... vanish.

There are not that many games with many great antagonists- most have one or two, and then a lot of cannon fodder. One of the exceptions is Arkham Asylum, but that is a no-brainer, it's the Batman's villains gallery after all. The Joker with Mark Hamill's voice, Bane, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn- the best of the worst, if you know what I mean, great take on great villains.

If we are allowed to go with entire series however, I think the Sherlock Holmes adventure games may just take the cake. I mean they have Arsene Lupin, Jack the Ripper, professor Moriarty and even Cthulhu! There isn't a better collection of bigger name bad guys then that.

My sister has a friend whose friend was once on this space ship, controlled by this super-computer named Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network. When he told me about it, the first question I asked was: "How the hell did you manage to remember such a long name?" and he replied: "If you have been System Shocked for the 2nd time, you would have remember it also...forever!". I told my sister afterwards not to introduce me to her creepy friends anymore, that dude has so serious problems, I could swear I saw genuine fear in his eyes when he spoke of this super-computer, and I think he even referred to it as a "SHE". O.o
