only a bit ;p
I'm in!

I find price increases an awful practice. Specially because they always feel like a cheap way to show greediness.

The idea of flying in 3D world games is always tied to finding the limits and boundaries of these worlds. You know, exploring what we're not supposed to be exploring. :P Always fun.

Dzsono: As for price increases, what kind of consumer would I be if I didn't like them? But what I dislike more is price discrepancies between vendors for no apparent reason. If anyone could explain that to me I'd greatly appreciate it :)

Vythonaut: I'm no expert in these kind of matters but my guess is that Steam bets on selling more copies for less profit. Maybe in the end of the day, the profits are bigger because it has many more customers?
I have no proof of this whatsoever, but it might be because it's the calculated risk of going DRM-free. We expect to lose x sales from piracy, so we'll increase the cost by y. Not that I agree with that mentality, just sayin' ;)

Yeah, it's the same mentality like "pirated software = lost sales, so let's put in every DRM we have...". I don't agree either. Has been said too many times before, but the truth is that pirates will always be pirates, simple as that. Even if something has a DRM-Free version next to the usual DRM-positive version, they'll choose to go for the third one, the version with the black flag... Like they care.. ;-)
Bump

Gengar78: I don't have a huge interest in flight games but I hear rouge squadron is simpler than others so it seems to me like a gateway game into the genre.
Heh, I got a cheap USB joystick as a present once, but it's got only a few buttons and of course isn't a full HOTAS set. So more simulationy games wouldn't be as nice to play on it, but the more arcadey ones like Rogue Squadron should be good.
Not to mention Rogue Squadron was one of the few games I drooled over at store stands, although that was the second one, on GameCube
yet another day bump
Bump and reminder ; I'll be closing the ga sometime tomorrow
Thanks for offering a Star Wars flight sim, arguably my favorite series of games from one of my favorite mythologies ever conceived. Even if Lucas screwed the pooch with episodes 1-3 and allowing the powers-that-be to make all Expanded Universe miscellanea produced prior to April 25(?) 2014 "Legendary" rather than canon. If you're a dyed-in-the-wool traditional old school true-blue SW fan I recommend watching "The People VS George Lucas". To paraphrase a certain Jedi Knight, Lucas WAS hard-working, and for awhile served his creation well. To paraphrase a different Jedi Knight that was "before the dark times, before he became a one-man empire."

Rereading the X-Wing series has helped me deal with my dad's ongoing hospitalization/rehabilitation and it's been interesting to experience them as an adult rather than a starry-eyed adolescent. I find that they hold up well, but I've always had a soft spot for thrilling heroics with held together by a compelling cast of characters, a decent plot, and lots of bad guys to root against.

I am IN for this chance at a classic title I played the heck out of growing up.May the Force be with you, and all who enter.
Thank you for the giveaway, Treasure!

Please, count me in for Ragnarblackmane, just above.
in for RWarehall

its such a dickmove of disney to rise the price on 1st april, i REALLY thought they made a joke. currently thinking about only buying disney games on big discounts.
I'm in! Thanks for the chance
Was interested in this game a little bit because I played that latest Rogue on the GameCube years ago. It was bad ass with a making of and everything. But sadly I doubt GOG will have the game cube version any time soon.

oh uh. I'm in? =D

Couldn't hurt to take a look if I win =)

In general, I agree that raising prices sucks, but thankfully there have also been many instances when prices of products actually dropped, so there's a balance between the two. As for flight sims, I might have many flying games in my collection, but that's probably more because I liked their historical setting or something (I'm a history buff!) than because of their genre (I'd like the genre of flight games more if I were actually good at it, I suppose).
Anyways, thanks for participating in my giveaway and see you around the forums soon!
