You're right. But you could launch a fake Duke. Just like Shadow Warrior 2013 a fake ShadowWarrior is. He even doesn't like Nuclear Weapons anymore!

I'd love a new Duke game, but even if it did get made it would probably never get a DRM-free release. Forever still didn't get one.

As for a movie... come on. I can't even imagine what that would be. We'd probably end up with a boring piece of crap like last year's Rampage. A 10 minute fan film or maybe a series of 2-4 minute sketches, that I can see, but a feature movie? No way. It would suck and it would bomb so hard it would plunge the world's economy into a new crisis.

EDIT: Ok, so apparently Rampage was actually somehow a moderate box office success. Obviously I don't understand the world at all anymore and should go back to my rocking chair and Buddy Holly songs.

The reason I hated Rampage is that they totally ignored the game. Part of the fun of it was being an evil mutant. None of that was there.

They are making a Duke movie with John Cena as Duke though. No details other than that and its in development.

I don't think I've ever seen him in anything other than 12 Rounds, and I don't remember that movie at all, so I really can't tell if he's a good choice. I still can't believe this will actually get made. The only way I can see this working is as something like Deadpool... but even that would only end up being a lamer, pointless wannabe Deadpool :P

Than again given my apparent disconnect from the general movie audience it will probably end up as a bland PG-13 fart and make a ton of money.

tbh after duke nukem forevers failings it was rip duke back then, the orginal duke nukem 3d was the best and always will be

Well, I feel that there wasn't much further for Duke to go, especially in this day and age. He'd have to reinvent himself.
