Hide demos is not a solution
if they are then it would be better to remove the demos , Steam allows you to remove the demos so they wont add to the number of games bought,.

Movies has its own number, games has its own number , demos do not show up in the list, so i guess they are added to the number of bought games?

Why not?

They're added to the number shown in the account menu, but hidden items don't add to the number shown on the actual account page. Why does the number matter, anyway?

Demos should automagically become extras when you buy the game.

Nope not a real problem for me, but hover over your account icon on the top bar of the website when logged in you see your account and the number does show the total including hidden items, thats why i know it increases.

Hidden items are not visible if you navigate to your games page.
