A new title from IceSitruuna will entertain all fans of platform roguelike games. Tower Hunter: Erza’s Trial invites gamers to a land full of monsters and picturesque landscapes. Along with our heroine we set on a trial journey to acquire Hunter’s License – a mark of a true Battle Maiden. Before that, Erza must face multiple dangerous opponents lurking in the eponymous tower.
Now, this looks like a pleasant surprise. Wishlisted.

EDIT: *pop*
I also read in a review somewhere that the roguelike/lite/whatever elements can be turned off if one so desires.

it's just me or the trailer doesn't have sound?
Do I see a bunny girl outfit at 0:35? I like where this plot is heading. Also I think the video is silent.
So many roguelikes recently? I assume, that they either don`t understand how to make savegames or it`s too much work for them, so they rather not implement a savesystem.

If that's the case then count me in as this looks like bloodstained ritual of the night!

I cannot stand this trend, but at the same time, I'm glad that GoG is getting a steady stream of games coming in!

Gamecard: "Metroidvania - Roguelike"

Sorry, these genres are incompatible!
Bloodstained clone? I'm interested. Especially if it's a bit more difficult (as the game page seems to indicate).
Looks good, but I'll have to wishlist it for now.

Theoretically yes, but I just say two words.

Dead Cells.

Or how to convert a great genre in something repetitive and boring. In addition it also has random maps, to kill any good game design attempt.

I must investigate if this game is like Dead Cells or it's just a mistake.

"players of Tower Hunter: Erza’s Trial fight their way up in the world of a giant tower with random modules"

I read that as random maps. The part that makes them incompatible. Die, start over, but keep some of your stuff to be stronger next time? That can be ok with a nice tight map. But "metroidvania" absolutely requires a carefully hand-crafted map. Otherwise, it's just an action platformer.
I like the atmosphere but this is not the kind of game that I typically play. Does anybody know how difficult the game is? If I end up buying this, I would just like to skim-through the game.
Any relation to Defender's Quest?
Nice, describing itself as a Metroidvania Roguelike, this is a contradiction in terms, you can be one or the other.

Remember when these type of games had level design?

I miss level design.
Hmm... don't know what to think, wishlisted for now.
