I have this game in my old computer with steam release. Is there a way to import my character here? And 2nd question. If you start with level 40 can you go back and do the old quests again?
A TQ expansion after all these years? That's great! And there goes free time.... :)
Wonderfull news and of course release! Thank you GOG and THQ Nordic :)
Uh.... wow. I didn't see this one coming. That's kind of cool that it's getting another expansion, a little over a decade after the last one.

For the first question, the saves are stored in a separate folder, so both the Steam and GOG versions of the anniversary share saves. You can even use old saves if you had Immortal Throne (I don't think saves with just the base game work).

For the second I'm assuming no, since IIRC you can't go back if you create a lvl 30 for playing through Immortal Throne.

Nice to see this here. Would also be nice if you finally fixed everything links related that you've broken a few months back so they're actually readable.

Mafwek: As somebody who still haven't finished original + Immortal Throne, will this expansion drastically change my TQ experience?
I can't say if it will change your experience much but what I have observed in gameplay videos, you can either continue your game with the character you created in AE or you can start from Act V in Ragnarok expansion.

A fresh start will give your hero level 40. Also there re extra slots in skill tree.
I might be wrong as I don't own the DLC.

mystral: A viking-based expansion? No offence, but ancient greeks and vikings are kind of separated by about 1,000 years of history. I guess vikings really have become the new zombies these days... At least they're more interesting (to me anyway).
...
Just like ancient greeks and the chinese wall ;)
Well, it's cool, of course, a new DLC for TQ and all... But as for me, I'm fed up with viking stuff everywhere, and as it has been already mentioned, Viking setting doesn't suit well to TQ ancient setting. So overall I'm slightly disappointed and confused.
It seems they rather spoiled the good game with additional inappropriate stuff. Another mastery, another kinds of weapons, items... MORE does not always automatically mean BETTER.
Well, I grabbed it. Got TQ at such a bargain bin price and still have yet to play it, so figure why not grab this as well/.

True. I don't really care tbh, it's just a game and Titan Quest certainly doesn't pretend to be historically accurate in any way. Still, it's kind of funny how vikings are thrown in anywhere these days, even in settings they have nothing to do with. I wonder what caused that particular trend to start after the zombie one more or less died down.

That being said, I really liked the Anniversary edition, so I guess I'll buy this whenever I feel like playing a hack&slash game again.
The Titan Quest main game content was all over the place anyway, with chapters based on Greek, Egyptian and Chinese mythology/history. Seems like a logical consequence to also add a chapter based on Norse/Germanic mythology. In fact, I suspect they had plans for this all along, but the original devs never got the chance to finish this expansion.

Don't have to buy/play it. The original base game is still around, if you prefer that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are tons of popular mods for Titan Quest which do exactly this: Add new masteries, enemies, items and areas. Many people still love the game and have exhausted its official content, so they're happy about anything new being added to it.

Has somebody played the expansion and can tell me, if there are new skins for the characters? It doesn´t make much sense to put a blonde nordic girl in the trailer, when there is no option to choose her as character.
Bought to support THQ Nordic! :D

That's the one thing which always bothered me about TQ -- The player characters are completely generic, with almost no options to customize their appearance. Does this expansion add some more options to change how the characters look? If we're playing in a setting of Norse/Germanic mythology this time around, I want to turn my character into a Viking warrior with a sweet beard! If it's not possible via official means, are there any mods which change the player character model?
