In the 1920s, on the East Coast of the United States, the half-submerged city of Oakmont is gripped by supernatural forces. You're a private investigator, uncovering the truth of what has possessed the city and corrupted the minds of its inhabitants... and yours.

The Sinking City – an adventure and investigation game developed and published by Frogwares, and set in an open world inspired by the universe of H.P. Lovecraft, the master of Horror, is now available on GOG with a -70% discount that lasts until January 23rd!

Moreover, you also grab the game’s DLCs: Chicago Organ, Experience Boost, Investigator Pack, Merciful Madness, Worshippers of the Necronomicon, and its Deluxe Edition – all with -70% discounts.

With their legacy of immersive, story-driven Sherlock Holmes games, Frogwares are masters of detective thrillers that transcend boundaries of virtual entertainment.

With their The Sinking City you can expect an oppressive atmosphere and story inspired by the universe of H.P. Lovecraft, a vast open world that can be explored on foot, by boat, or even in a diving suit, high replay value thanks to an open investigation system (each case can be solved in a number of ways, with different possible endings depending on your actions), an arsenal of weapons from the 1920s with which to take on nightmarish creatures, and the system of managing your mental health to untangle the truth behind the madness.

The Sinking City awaits – do you dare to enter?
I think the card on the store page might be a spoiler. It looks like it's suggesting the plot is just in the protagonist's head.

Matruchus: Also watch out! The Deluxe version includes all the DLCs.
And no clue about the deluxe version on the game card of the base game. GOG consistently inconsistent as usual.

It seems like common sense that all DLC would all be included Deluxe over the base game.. But I forgot this is GOG forms.

dyscode: Though I won't rebuy it soon, since I already have the DRM-free Gamesplanet version for a long time! :)

kultpcgames: Same here, but I wish i could transfer the license, because I only used Gamesplanet for this single game.
GP will issue replacement GOG OR Steam keys to previous owners, yeah!!! :D

Looking for the ArtBook and OST to come here as well. How about it Frogwares?
Experience boost DLC? Seriously? And this is the sort of stuff that people here get enthusiastic for these days? Shameful.

I would say the criticism here is more that the release post did not mention the Deluxe edition. And the combo box in the game card is something my eye often misses since it does not advertise itself very well. I probably would not have noticed the option if it hadn't been mentioned in the thread.

Edit: Actually, the Deluxe Edition is mentioned, at least now. Don't know if I was blind or it was edited in later. And the description text of the game card does not mention it at all, there is just the combo box which for me counts as hidden information. They should at least add a "Also consider the Deluxe Edition bundle" or even better one of those fancy "You get all that in this edition compared to the others"-overview images.

Some of the DLC is of questionable use (but they also seem very cheap, especially on discount). Some of the DLC seems to contain quite relevant content and getting the Deluxe edition might be cheaper even for just those bits of DLC. And as the seen earlier in the thread, you are free which of the DLC you install even with Deluxe.

Nice to finally see it here, and that their legal battle is resolved. That's why I resisted buying it, even with huge price cuts during sales.

Also nice to see that Gamesplanet provides Steam/GOG keys for owners.
Thank you GOG! Insta buy!

Not always. A lot of games have Deluxe versions that only include some wallpapers, manuals and soundtracks.
Brilliant, I could be wrong, but it sounds as though they snagged the same actor that did Raphael from BG3, he's not the protagonist however, but the first character you meet!

Anyway, snagged this ASAP!

MarkoH01: Just started my PC, saw Sinking City
... clicked on "purchase" ...
--- aborted and switched to deluxe .
.... klicked on "purchase" again.

Finally! Good luck to Frogwares and thanks for the big discount (which for me was unexpected after everything that happened).
Yeah, that´s usually my problem when buying games here, I have to double check whether I have the correct version, especially if they list only the base edition in the introductory article and, for some reason, the higher tier (deluxe, complete, ultimate...) edition is not connected with the base game (you cannot simply select a dropdown button on the purchase card - there are few games like that here) :D

Glad I am not the only one who has that issue.

Yeah, I don't understand why GOG has a game page that doesn't show there are multiple versions!

The web page for Sinking City has a drop down from which you can select the version. Screenshot attached. If you don't see the drop down, then perhaps JavaScript is disabled for GOG?
When you select deluxe it lists all the DLCs it contains.
