A (s)train of horrors.

The Final Station, a side-scrolling survival game about managing a train riding through the zombie apocalypse, is available now for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Here are the things one needs in order to survive the infected hordes: serious firepower, dependable allies, and a sturdy vehicle for the big escape. As luck would have it, you find yourself at the helm of a thundering locomotive. Unfortunately, though, the other two commodities will prove much harder to come by.

See, people can be valuable assets, but also huge liabilities. Like that fellow you just found after shooting your way through an abandoned warehouse. Burning with fever and desperation, he claims to be a talented mechanic and begs you to take him with you. Should you let him on board and risk spooking the others or leave him and your humanity behind? You need to make the call and fast, before the shrieking hordes come too close for comfort...

Lead a train full of desperate souls through the infected hordes and into The Final Station, DRM-free on GOG.com.
If you want to make the ride a tad more luxurious, book a seat at the Collector's Edition wagon or ask the conductor for an upgrade later on.

Hard not to think of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri with that setup. Appealing, if a bit pricey.

Zoidberg: 1 Fairly priced
2 Apparently no bullshit with DLC or whatever

*clap clap clap*

Decent release.
But what happens if future patches never show up? ;)
Looks like a cool game. Chance is very high that I will pick it up.
Looks very interesting. Wishlisted for now.
But will it be really "final" on Gog? >:P
I'm sick and tired of zombies but if this game anyhow similar to Transarctica I may get someday

That's a whole another issue, but true! :P
Edit: I should probably put a content notice on this link. There's some bad stuff in the visuals, like implied rape, kidnapping, and pedophilia. Didn't think of it at first as I usually don't pay attention to the visuals and then I clicked over the the tab and... yeah. Still haven't watched the whole thing, so click at your own risk.

Saw this on the water vapor service first. One of the reviews there says that it absolutely nails the atmosphere, and the combat is apparently really good, but it otherwise feels shallow. I think they said it took 5-6 hours to get through.

Definitely getting wishlisted, as the atmosphere is a big draw for me.

tinyBuild has been hit and miss with updates. Punch Club is missing 11 languages and cloud saving for instance - not terribly important to me personally but might be critical for some.

[EDIT] Lovely Planet... no, just no. The dev outright calling the GoG version inferior is just plain stupid.

Shame GOG failed in releasing Transarctica ....while DOTEMU succeed...

Since it might never happen, you can still buy it DRM-Free from DotEmu for less than two bucks:

Vythonaut: I would but I spend all my money on the other release, the GOG wallet. :P
You just had to go for the Royal Edition, didn't you?

How could I turn my back on extras such as "GOG wallet spending strategy guide (242 pages)" or "7 papercraft dolls with game's corporate bankers" or "printable artbook (wink wink!)" or even the "localized extras (ZH, CZ, DE, EN, ES, FR, IT, JP)" that should allow me to play the game even when travelling around the world!

Ahhh, the joy of game extras! :D
