A familiar ambience awaits...

STASIS, an isometric point-and-click horror adventure, is available now on Windows and Mac OS X - DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount.

There is a familiar, unmistakable feeling to STASIS, an atmosphere we've felt before. A musical, ambient hum of decrepit machinery. Dirty, pre-rendered environments. A horrid discomfort and grime.
Through subtle graphical aesthetic, particular animation and sound design, STASIS invokes powerful memories of exploring the desolate vaults of Fallout, the twisted halls of Sanitarium, and the strangest corners of Planescape: Torment - a freak-show, a circus of nostalgia.

STASIS tells its story on a derelict spacecraft, home of self-professed gods and scientific progress, where everything that could go wrong, did: technical failures, deaths, inhuman experiments and an orbit in decay. You're a survivor on the lifeless, floating husk - perhaps the last, perhaps just one of the few. You hope for the latter, because your child and wife were right beside you as you fell into a deep, cryogenic sleep. With deeply ingrained old-school influences, and a soundtrack designed by the man behind the 90's most iconic gaming sounds (including Fallout, Planescape: Torment and Sanitarium) STASIS strikes an unprecedented balance between a modern revival, and a classic aura.

If you're up for more classic intensity, you can also pick up the Deluxe Edition, complete with Unique Backgrounds, a PDF Art Book, and the incredible OST in MP3 and lossless FLAC.

The memory lives on in STASIS, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for one week, until Monday, September 7, 12:59 PM GMT.

IAmSinistar: Bishop: "Subject: Maracheck, John J." (indicates facehugger in jar) "They killed him removing it."

I knew the protagonist's name was familiar. :)
Also, the developer's name "Chris & Nick Bischoff" -- Bischof is German for Bishop. COINCIDENCE?! *cue dramatic music*

Interesting game release. Nice atmosphere, and the genre ( isometric point&click adventure ) seems unusual these days. Not an instant-purchase for me, but might pick it up in the future.

I will join in with my favourite marine Vasquez and her "Adios" adorned smart gun:

"Hey, Vasquez, you ever get mistaken for a man?"

As for Stasis:

Another happy backer here :)

Thank you, Chris & Nick Bischoff for this game - I was also watching it development almost since beginning . my friend notified me about that trailer with flying teddy bear in space (2009?) and since then I occasionally peeked in to your site, only to learn about the upcoming Kickstarter! - and since then things got really rolling!

I am really looking forward to playing Stasis, but first I have to finish Shadowrun: Hong Kong - too many good games have been released almost at once :)

Also, one question for developers: I know you have already addressed this, but would that planned DLC be available to all backers or only for those from a higher tiers?

So is it good then? :)
Looks interesting. But regional pricing keeps me from buying this.
The atmosphere looks like Aliens ^_^
Awesome! I'm so excited! I redeemed my KS backer key and am downloading now. I'm just curious, did any KS backers of this game get a key for the Deluxe edition? I think they messed mine up as I got a key for the standard edition even though I backed at a level that gave me all the content of the Deluxe Edition and more even. WTF? Please let me know what you other backers got. Thanks!
I want this game badly, but the whispering voices sometimes make my positive symptoms flare up. It's the same reason that I can only watch my favorite movie, Ink, once or twice a year.

You know, I keep seeing that movie. How good is it?
EDIT:

Sorry, did not mean to derail the thread. :) Once I normalize from this latest mini breakdown, I will see what I can do about getting myself a copy. It definitely looks worth supporting!
