You get a lightsaber!

Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, in which you master weapons of the Jedi and face the very real temptations of the dark side, is now available for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount.

Dark Forces revolutionised the early days of first person shooting. Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II improved on the experience in almost every imaginable regard, as the series once again established a significant milestone in 3D action gaming. If the words "You get a lightsaber" weren't enough to get you hyped about this title back in the day, then the truly-3D environments and models, RPG elements, and unprecedented freedom of movement complemented by a varied arsenal of weapons and Force powers would have done it.

Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II is a must-play for gamers looking to experience or relive gaming history, and the GOG.com treatment now makes this easier than ever. At the end of the day, it's a game that allows you to discover the Force entirely on your own - to walk the light path of a Jedi hero, or to unlock the sheer destructive power of the dark side - and that is just plain awesome.

Get your lightsaber and master the Force in Star Wars™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 20% launch discount will last for 72 hours, until Friday, January 30 at 1:59 PM GMT.
I have retail box of Jedi Knight and both JK and MotS on Steam... and yet it's an instabuy!
By the way, last three levels of MotS are the creepiest thing I've seen in entire Star Wars :)
Hmm.. Those screenshots of the game look like they're taken with the software renderer. I take it 3d acceleration does not work on Windows 7/8?
What i want to know is these things before I buy:

1) Does it actually work better then the steam version (working music, working hardware accelleration, fullscreen movies,....)?

2) Is it mod-able.
One thing, that interest me is: does the ingame music work?

Smannesman: I don't see it mentioned on the game card though.
Click "read more". Also, there are MOTS-screenshots.

Great to see this on GOG! Now all I'm interested in is this:

- is the music included?
- do the videos play in full screen?

Grargar: It's mentioned in the description.
Ah you're right, I missed it due to the ugly layout but it's there.
Oh well, I'll get it during a sale since it's one of my childhood favourites.

Smannesman: Why is the manual for Mysteries of the SIth included, but the game itself isn't?
the content is included as a separate download.
It has the expansion! Oh man, my light sabre just got really big.
Yum Yum! instant buy!

I know it's not Star Wars, but I can't resist showing this scene.
Okay, since I was fully expecting this to be a $9.99 title (and expected MotS to be seperate $5.99 DLC), I'll spend the extra money I was willing to pay for this on a bunch of other LA titles.

You're welcome, GOG & Mickey Mouse! Keep up the good work!

In all seriousness? No, it doesn't as we are selling the world's first entirely silent game complete with those word frames you'd see in Charlie Chaplin movies :P

Actual professional reply: yes, the music works :)

Great, thank you!

That leaves the videos, which play in the Steam version, but they are miniscule. :o

So did GOG succeed where Steam failed?

The game works right out of the box and bugless?

I never tried the Steam Version mind you. But it was alot worse than Dark Forces 1.

Okay and what about my other questions?
