Gudadantza: Sadly I cant run it anymore. Too demanding
Me too. I won't meet the requirements. But for a game (?) of this size, it was to be expected.
Fantastic release!!!
So, offers this simulation any gameplay?
Never mind - after 14 years you'd think I'd know how this site works... ><

Bigs: So are the free HD DLCs coming as well?

Never mind - just saw they're downloadable from https://spaceengine.org/download/official-addons/solar-system-hd/
Also here on GOG already.

Those available here on GOG are compatible with the latest version. Those you can download from the website are compatible only with the free legacy 0980 version, as it's specified in that addon page
How does one simulate the observable universe without barely charting it all? Oh well, I guess speculative simulation works too.

Depends on what you mean by mapping it. here is a 14 blillion lightyear map - http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/universe.html
it is possible to record / render videos with along a custom flight path?

I'd like to use it as background vids for my own live music performances.

Otherwise I have no other interest/ use in this one.

thx :)

Sounds fascinating and boring at the same time :P
Sez Windows 10+ required, is that just boilerplate or does this thing really need new OS features in order to run?

I was wondering the same thing. Thought about it for a moment, as a drop, but decided against it due to the uncertainty.

I suppose it's in regards to level of detail, which is why I say 'speculative'.
