Even though it looks interesting, I'm not really much into stealth games.

Same here; I find the "silent kill" impure by its nature... Assassins, U-boats, etc., what honour? (one vs. many, perhaps?)

Well, the pure form of stealth is achieved down the no kill route, not the silent killing one.
The trailer claims Stealth's an option, not a requirement.
If mass killing your idea of a pure kill, you've got that option in most good stealth games, and again according to the trailer in this one.
I do like the pure stealth route, not so sure about isometric stealth though. I'll wait and see what some players say.
I never trust the ones selling the games, not even ex (Or current) CDPR ones.

Looks absolutely amazing - and it's crpg! But ^ this... There is no hope for me.
I'd rather stay with my Pool of Radiance.

Well those are pretty low specs these days, so if you can't even cope with them, I feel for you.

I know how much it sucks to be on outdated hardware
Bought a Pentium 4 OEM as my first PC in 2005, just as gaming switched to dual core.
It was still a PC, and I got online soon after, plenty of old games I could play, but no GOG back then, so pirated those I could play.

Took me 8 years to save enough to go to very best PC hardware at start of 2013,
Never pirated another game after I could actually buy, and play them new, then discovered GOG on Dec 14, 2013
Around 300 GOG games now, and I will never have to worry if I can play, any below ultra again
Upgraded to an EVGA GTX1080 FTW2 this year, but the i7 3770K 3.5GHz (4.6Ghz OC) I got in 2013 is still pulling it's weight.

Not letting myself get outdated again.

why on earth would you use a controller for this game?

UhuruNUru: ...
It must be nice to set Ultra and don't worry, indeed.

I bought my laptop a few years ago as a simple tool for Internet browsing, playing with Linux, some simple programming, editing photos etc. I'm in love with simplest Linux desktops as Mint+Mate, so low specs and budget level was more than fine for me. Than I rediscovered gaming (after 10 or 15 years;) and perhaps today my choice would be a bit different, but a lot of expences, kids (three of them!) etc. causes that I'd probably stay with retrogaming for a while. To be honest I don't feel such a big difference switching between e.g. MDK and some recent productions. I often find oldies' gameplay more satisfying than today's.

15 year gap, what a coincidence, I'm was at the dawn of gaming many years ago, played Pong when it was new,
Left school before computers started, and my first computer was a Commodore C=64 that was 64 kB of memory
8-bit when 8-bit was cutting edge, loved the original Wire Frame Elite "Real" 3D gaming long before DOOM appeared.
Then in 85 I got a new 16-bit 1MB memory Amiga, but lost intreast when games stayed 8-bit, and 2D side scrollers..

15 years later I saw Tomb Raider 4, and realised games had finally become the 3D experience I wanted.
Bought a PS2, and entire Tomb Raider series the same day, and was a 2nd hand games, console peasant until 2005.
Never touched another controller after that. hate exclusives more than DRM, hate Store clients more than DRM.

Suppose that comes from my piracy days, I never had to worry about any DRM, it was long gone before I got a game.
Offline installers has always been GOG's main attraction for me, and still are, though I now love DRM free as well.

Yeah, I realised I didn't mind drm until clients and having to be online to play my single player game became a thing. I despise that shit with a passion and hope one day the nightmare will end but I doubt it ever will.

IFW: to GOG/publisher

I'd like to buy the collector's edition, but but can't afford it atm.
I'd buy the base game if there was an upgrade path to CE, but there isn't one - so no buy.

I am sure I am not the only one at Christmas time like this, so could you please add an upgrade path to CE?
I gotta agree with you. Upgrade path would be great.
I've been fighting with myself over which version to buy. I don't have much money. But I do want the soundtrack and map. Just wish I could get the base game right now, and pick up the rest later.
[sigh]I'm weak. Gonna get the CE right now I suppose.
I could be playing the damn game instead of arguing with myself.

It's not even that for me, it's the hypocrisy of presenting it and selling it like it's something you "own" (from the big upfront "à la carte" cost to having to install software on your computer) and then require a remote server to install and/or play.

Also, they have the gal to give the illusionary promise that you own it and you will have access to it forever (pure BS right there: how many services do you know from 15+ years ago that are still around?).

Another thing that really annoys me with many forms of DRM (Steam is reportedly not bad for this one) is arbitrary platform restrictions (ie, iTunes, most books you purchase from services that sell an e-reader, almost any movie you purchase digitally, etc).

But if the DRM is cross-platform and honest about what it is (they charge a reasonable subscription fee for what is essentially a rental), it's fine. I watch movies on Netflix and I consider it a great service even though I don't "own" any of the movies I watch on it.
