Great. Already at 40% download. The last of my favorite old-school FPS series that still hasn't lost its luster for me. Can't wait to jump in.

I wonder how good this game is, it came out of nowhere. Serious Sam 4 seems to be a little bit lacking in the earlier parts of the game but I wait until the game is fully patched before I pick it up. If this game has great pacing I may consider buying it.

I would like to buy it but i hardly trust Croteams antics anymore, the only thing they seem to care about anymore is sucking Gabes dick and not give a fuck about other versions.

4 was pretty good if you ignore the secondary characters, the plot, all the dialog. It’s an ok shooter then (oh and do some tweaks to get it to run fine). Haha!

Well, count me in for a missed sale. Still no word on fixing anything, adding necessary functionality, providing parity or removing online gated content. To much emphasis on removing support, release information, and pushing endless crappy sales.

Interestingly, this expansion DOES have the unrestricted .exe in it even in the GOG version. At this point, I assume it's just pure laziness that they don't add it to the main game too, to allow playing with mods.... :/

Let me rephrase myself while asking a question.

Will Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem just let me fight thousands of monsters in huge arenas and let us fight giant ass bosses? Serious Sam is at its best if its just that and I may buy this game at least. Perhaps Serious Sam 4 has these things as well, then I'd pick it also up.

Serious Sam 1 is so memoriable not because of nostalgia but because it was the first game where the final boss was pretty much moving mountain you had to Independance Day Ion Cannon to kill. That was fucking awesome.

EDIT: I play nuts.WAD (all three of them) almost weekly and make my own Serious Sam arenas in classic DOOM. It will never be not fun if you just slap 5000 demons into a arena and give you modded weapons.

Wait what? Just noticed that. I bought it a couple hours before release to get the 10% discount and now there is a 25% for owners of SS4?

Probably gonna refund and rebuy at the reduced price then. Am I correct that this 25% owner discount was not a thing before the game released?

I still only see the full price when checking in the store though.... :/

NVM, the discount only applies/shows once you add it to the cart or enter the game page. That settles it then, gonna refund and rebuy. Would have been great if the owner discount was announced BEFORE the game actually released :/

Sounds like this standalone expansion is a massive improvement over SS4 itself, which I passed on due to all the many issues it had/has. It's a bit sad when the fans are able to make a better game than the original devs.
You've played one, you've played them all... more or less. ;)

Not sure about this one, but I played through SS4 on my Win7 machine without any problems. I guess, this will run too, as long as they didn´t change anything significant on the game engine. Next week I will know for sure.
