wolfsite: Wonder what the chances of Volition/Deep Silver re-mastering or remaking the original Saints Row, a PC release would be great as it is a 360 exclusive.
I guess none. That game is too old and seems to be pretty average, it was only with the third and fourth game that this franchise had become successful.
Pointless re-release really. Shame to read that it has been censored. There's no fun left in the world, thanks vegans!
Why is it rated 18+ pegi if it's censored?
It's weird saying we can get all the violence in the games but not a little skin or nipple or something.
But i don't know if this made the game more appropriate but it's still 18+
And i am not really sure if about those censored details are true i only played the saints row the third original game not remastered version. I didn't play the original much, since my pc went kaput 5 years ago.
So i don't know about the Marquee girl changes what they changed there.
Also i remember playing one mission where the characters were nude with a pixelation which is in the original game for jokes.

Maybe the censorship was thinking like "we're more progressive now and don't exploit women / Kotaku / Twitter" rather than "we can't do this"? I don't know. GTA V has nudity and of course was allowed in stores and sold gangbusters.

Ah, the exploitation of women in media. The great double standard lol.

KingOfDust: EDIT:

Nevermind, I thought I had closed Galaxy but it was just minimized. Seems that the game needs Galaxy running in the background to access the settings file. If I leave Galaxy running and launch the game from its Exe, my keybinds are there.

But if I close Galaxy and launch the game, it just loads the default keybinds. If I open up Galaxy again and relaunch the game, I get my keybinds back.

Highly annoying, since I just use Galaxy as a downloader/updater and don't want it running in the background all the time.

Anothername: As KingOfDust has found out its a Non-Galaxy problem.
Oh cmon, the more games we are getting, the more issues arise when these games run without galaxy, I'm getting tired of it. They better fix this issue or I'll not spend money on it.

MarkoH01: Well, imo it is really bad that GOG obviously only test their games with Galaxy and not without it because otherwise they would have found this bug as well. Unfortunately it is not the first time something like this (Galaxy needed for the game) happens. I am quite sure it was not intended and I am also sure they will fix this issue asap but @GOG for future releases: check FIRST if the game is running fine WITHOUT Galaxy and THEN test if Galaxy features are working as well. The game itself will always be the most important thing. You have DRM-free written all over your page so if even by accident a game does in fact need Galaxy it will hurt your reputation no matter how much you love Galaxy yourself.
SO MUCH THIS! It's like their are trying their best to alienate old/loyal GOG customers in favor of that damn client.

This is so pathetic. The same mistakes and problems associated with this flawed Galash*t are repeated over and over again, and no one in the company is even able to draw conclusions from this and take it into account for the future.
Or they deliberately disrespect neither the users nor themselves.

KingOfDust: Just got a small update that seems to have fixed the problem.

Options now persist even when Galaxy isn't running.
Not for me. Make sure the GalaxyCommunication.exe isn't running in the background because that process persists when you exit Galaxy.

Ah, got bamboozled again. It usually takes around 30 seconds for it to close, and I didn't bother checking if I had waited long enough. But yeah, seems like it was probably running, because it's not working anymore.

Damnit.

Edit:

Though this did give me the idea of just making a batch file that starts GalaxyCommunication.exe and SRTTR.exe right after. Not ideal, but at least I don't have to load Galaxy's UI and GalaxyCommunication will just close itself on its own after I close the game.

That's pretty fuckin' distressing, I thought it might be that the file is read-only, but mandating that galaxy needs to be running to keep the settings?

I think we need to write tickets as this is clearly a serious bug as it kills the independence from being forced to use a launcher to play the game!

Plus the fact that the cutscenes are a measly 30 FPS and you cannot get frames over 67, makes me want to refund this game...

nightcraw1er.488: Indeed, the likes of beamdog showed the way and the flock followed. Give it five more years and we will see refactored remasters.
P. T. Barnum showed the way. Suckers abound. Prey for the predators.

I fully agree with you and MarkoH01. I just don't expect gog to give a f about the non galaxy version besides the bare minimum and am too tired to get upset about it.
Ah, same shit different day...

I advise you make a dedicated thread about this. At least I think it helped with Spec Ops The Line, which had a similar issue some time ago.
