The fast and the colorful.

Redout: Solar Challenge Edition is now available DRM-free, 50% off until December 5th, 2PM UTC.

Ready, set, GOG!
That's right, this love letter to the rad arcade racers of old is finally on GOG.com as the timed-exclusive Solar Challenge Edition, which includes all DLCs, bells, whistles, and colors known to man. Diverse environments, dozens of tracks, plus the option to face your friends in local split-screen multiplayer!

XYCat: is this game good? is it pod racing?
Pretty good but there's as much time trials as there's racing from what I remember.
Hi everyone,

Do you know if this game supports common controllers (gamepad) like thrustmaster or other "noname" gamepad ?
Thx
Is there any reason why the store page has no screenshots. It just has the one trailer video. Difficult to tell what the game is really like (1st person, 3rd person, etc.).
Oh wow. really impressed and happy to see it here
Shame about the lack of multiplayer.

GoG really needs to nail down the multiplayer aspect of Galaxy
On a semi related note: GOG's main page really SUCKS.

I'm utterly fed up of the same game appearing SEVERAL times just because of DLC and whatnot editions...

Really kills the readability and useability of the site.

But hey, gog doesn't give a damn...

In this case, it has been our fault. Redout's multiplayer has been done two years ago now and doesn't support the Galaxy SDK. In the meantime you get the play the full redout experience of a very small fraction of the price ;) Hope that's good enough!
I can finally take this off my Steam wishlist. Thanks! Appreciate the Galaxy support as well.
This has got to be one of the only games on GOG that has a video but no screenshots; I'd much rather have the reverse, as one can easily find video of a game elsewhere if one wants, while decent screenshots are sometimes harder to come by (and might be scattered among different sites). Of course, having both is the best option, but having only a video rubs me the wrong way. I tend to nope right out of Humble Store pages that only have a video; Don't go down that path too, GOG.
EDIT: (Reluctantly) changed Bumble to the much less hilarious -- but intended -- Humble.

On an unrelated note, how does one race cooperatively? Because unless the only form of multiplayer is a mode where you form a team with friends and play against a team of AI-controlled racers, the game has head-to-head multiplayer; it being local-only doesn't make it co-op.
(I think this is partly a problem with how GOG uses these terms; instead of having a "multiplayer" feature tag, there should be several, such as "local multi", "Galaxy multi", "head-to-head" (or "competitive multi"), and yes, "co-op".)

That makes a lot of sense, we are trying to fix this ;)

In the meantime, you can checkout some screenshots here: http://34bigthings.com/press/sheet.php?p=redout

Hi, thank you for this release and for the inclusion of the achievements and the Galaxy support.

I have only a question: as others have pointed out this version doesn't seem to include the soundtrack and the artbook of the Deluxe Edition present on Steam, they will be released on GOG separately or we can expect them in some time among the extras?

Thank you! I had the same thought when I visited the game page.

I'm buying this, multiplayer wasn't going to be an issue for me, but I know its an issue for a number of players. I was hugely interested in this when I first saw it. You've probably got an email from me begging for a GoG release.

I know the Team behind Antigraviator where limited by the 3rd party multiplayer tools not supporting GoG's multiplayer which is another reason I'm bugging the GoG team to get multiplayer sorted.
Does this GOG version support VR like the Steam version does? That was one of the major reasons it was on my Steam wishlist.
Excellent timing. Two days after I bought it on Steam.

Edit:
By the way, interesting tag on the store page - real-time. Yes, that will help when people will try to ignore all those turn-based racing games released here :->.

Great addition, thanks for working on bringing Redout here.
I wanted to ask for the sake of understanding, since reading didn't give me a clear answer: Redout multiplayer isn't working "now" or it won't "ever" work?
A racing game that got multiplayer disabled for a time is one thing, a racing game that won't ever get multiplayer is another one entirely.
