Your personal guide to the galaxy.

Rebel Galaxy, a swashbuckling space adventure from the developers of Torchlight, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy achievements and a 10% launch discount.

Action, exploration, discovery, trade, diplomacy. Can you ask for more in a title about the fantasy of space?
How about power? You're in command of a hulking, terrifying star destroyer. You will traverse the outer reaches of space doing what you can to get by - whether it's fending off or hunting pirates, exploring the unknown, mining, or scavenging - all the paths and choices are yours. Your riches can be wisely invested, or spent on a few more guns and a bigger chassis. But the huge universe open before you may just be more than you've bargained for. Just... Try to survive without blowing up everything.

Well, maybe you could also ask for a killer soundtrack. Done.
Check out the launch trailer, and set off on the biggest adventure of your life:

Ah, from the developers of Torchlight... 2
*wink wink wink*
This game looks fantastic.

tfishell: Were we suppose to get Torchlight 2 today, finally? :D (Or is everyone posting that just doing wishful thinking.)

Anyway anyhoo, probably a good game but uninteresting to me. I continue to hope for something to counteract the "we never get AAA games" thread or GOG just getting the attention of their old partners we haven't seen in moons (EA, Activision, the ol' gang).
The game is developed by two of the former co-founders of Runic Games. Emphasis on former.
Hey GOG!

Thanks for getting this game on the site, but I can't buy it!

It's rejecting my credit card (same one I always use here, plenty of credit on it, etc.)

Servers are busy, eh?

Ah, see I never read the entirety of the release post; otherwise I would have caught that. So shame on me, I guess. :P

Check with your bank, perhaps?
Interesting but regionally priced and too expensive for me.
Oh, hell yes! Now THIS is my kind of game! I was just thinking of doing a Freelancer play through, but this looks so much better*!

*(well, really nothing is better than Freelancer, but this still looks awesome)
A big ship open "world" space game out of the blue? No 'pit sim? oO

Where is the catch?

I was able to buy the game through PayPal with the same credit card that GOG was rejecting. I wan't mad or anything, just wanted to let someone know what was happening.

Can't wait to fire up this game tonight!!

Licurg: Yeah, I'm definitely buying this when I get some money . Where's Torchlight 2 tho ?
avatar
IAmSinistar: They're saving it to be the free game in the next Insomnia sale.
Naw, that's Titan Quest. (If only. Wish ThomNG would give us an ETA on when it might show up, but it'll be 2017 at the rate GOG's working on Galaxy.)
Not my genre, but looks like a nice game. Certainly not something I would have expected from ( former ) Torchlight developers.

Anyhow, I hope we'll see some more new ( or old ) Horror games this month...

That is likely your bank denying the transaction. A lot of banks, especially in the US, don't allow international transactions to Cyprus because of its history with credit card fraud. GOG is incorporated in Cyprus, but is not actually located there. Using PayPal works because as far as your bank is concerned, the transaction is between them and PayPal, not them and GOG. I have to use the same method to buy from GOG, since both of my credit cards and my debit card will decline any direct transactions with GOG for just that reason.

Well, except for this part: "It's rejecting my credit card (same one I always use here, plenty of credit on it, etc.)", so who knows...
