Your personal guide to the galaxy.

Rebel Galaxy, a swashbuckling space adventure from the developers of Torchlight, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy achievements and a 10% launch discount.

Action, exploration, discovery, trade, diplomacy. Can you ask for more in a title about the fantasy of space?
How about power? You're in command of a hulking, terrifying star destroyer. You will traverse the outer reaches of space doing what you can to get by - whether it's fending off or hunting pirates, exploring the unknown, mining, or scavenging - all the paths and choices are yours. Your riches can be wisely invested, or spent on a few more guns and a bigger chassis. But the huge universe open before you may just be more than you've bargained for. Just... Try to survive without blowing up everything.

Well, maybe you could also ask for a killer soundtrack. Done.
Check out the launch trailer, and set off on the biggest adventure of your life:

Looks really nice, but I'll wishlist for now. With low specs, I might have even Day 1'd it if it wasn't windows only. Looks like Windward-In-Space, but I'll assume it will hold my attention a bit longer than that one.

Looks a treat. Surprised there's no wordplay tie-in with GOG's client, though. :)
Tempting.
lol bought prior to release but only affect me by a £1.50 think i can live with that especially for a game that should be twice that price.

GOG.com: Well, maybe you could also ask for a killer soundtrack. Done.
Seems this refers to the in-game soundtrack and not an included extra. That was a little disappointing when I checked the gamecard.
Stull no Torchlight 2?
Fun fact: Rebel Galaxy is made with the OGRE engine :)
now I'm gonna watch the beast's QL and check a Let's Play or two. and if it's like Freelancer, I'm probably gonna get it right out. the ships seem big unfortunately, so it has diverged from roberts that way. still, if it has an interesting world like Freelancer did with everything feeling right and put together then I'm gonna get it.

wow that's impressive. I thought they'd moved on from OGRE. that must easily make this the best OGRE game.

Nice, will pick it up. But where is torchlight 2?
What's a similar game in terms of gameplay?

Sid Meier's Pirates from what QA tells me :)
Game looks very interesting. I've got a small question: will the MAC version also be available on GoG?

Currently the mac version is offered on Steam, but I would prefer buying it here.

So, is it not sold here due to technical or legal issues?
