Kittens shouldn't have to bend this way.

Rain World, an idiosyncratic 16-bit adventure/platformer following a lone slugcat's fight for survival, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount!

Cats don't like water. Slugcats are no different: if they are to survive this post-apocalyptic world overflowing with water and dangerous creatures, they must rely on stealth, quick reflexes, and a deep understanding of their hazardous environment.

The 20% discount will last until April 4, 1 PM UTC.

Yes! I was really hoping that it would make it to GOG. This and Hollow Knight are have been some of my most anticipated games of the year, and Hollow Knight certainly delivered. First signs are promising with this one as well.
Not a fan of the art style, but I like cats.

Yeah, this is definitely a good game.
Definitive a good game.
Yeah.
OOooohhh!!!! I recall seeing either TB or Jim Sterling previewing this game and it looked really really good!

I'll add this to my wishlist for later.

Pain World? *scrolls down to headline* Oh, Rain World. Although the former would be more accurate for our lack-of Freddi Fish 2-on-GOG world.
We need more games from Adult Swim here on GOG.
An exciting release, lots of positives and negatives already out there. It should be interesting how the perception progresses and how the game will with updates.

The Steam entry has a Soundtrack DLC and I don't see a way to buy the soundtrack separately. I wouldn't be surprised if this changes over time.
Linux and Mac versions coming later. ... [url=https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rain-world/project-rain-world/posts/1840531?cursor=16303298#comment-16303297]Maybe?
Oh I think I've heard of this one.

Looks cute but I'll wait for more info (it's regionally priced anyway).

Good luck to them!
I just realized there's no video in this game's card here on GOG, and this is a game you've got to see in movement to fully appreciate it, so here you go:

I still don't love the art style, but I do like the animation.

Reminds me of Way of the Red and Dark Heart of Uukrul. Bought.
Q: Will you be doing a Linux version?

A: We'd like to see Rain World on Linux! If we reach our $50k goal, we will have the resources to make that happen.
They got 60k+. Also, looking at their kickstarter campaign, they did deliver on the hype and more, even if it took two more years. (Which is not to say you should buy it even if you can't play it yet. I did, though. Fluffy game is fluffy.)

Too late for that. I bought into the hype and backed it on Kickstarter back then. :D

I really, really hope they know what they're doing and don't come out in a couple of weeks 'discovering' that some middleware they used only works on Windows.
I'm not sure about the gameplay qualities of Rain World, but it looks gorgeous; really some of the most beautiful pixel-art/artwork here. Kudos to the designers!
