UPDATE: If you are looking to give your punching experience that extra kick, you can now purchase the Punch Club Deluxe Edition Upgrade which includes the game's soundtrack as well as the spiffy artbook. This bonus content is also included in the Punch Club Deluxe Edition.

The black eye of the tiger.

Punch Club, a rocky-solid fighting manager, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Science has irrefutably proven that witnessing your dad's murder in a dark alley yields a 68.3% chance of transforming you into a fist-swinging bringer of street justice. But in order to fulfil this noble destiny one must also train hard, obsess over carbohydrate consumption, and always look good in boxer shorts.

Hit the gym, the steamed chicken breasts, and anyone that looks at you the wrong way or from across the ring. Get used to getting knocked out but never get comfortable with it. Be sure to use your noggin not just to wear out your opponent's mean left but to make the right decisions when customizing your fighting build or juggling your social, financial, and everyday life. The path to your father's killer is paved with sweaty treadmills, loose teeth, and blood-thirsty crowds. Micromanage and fight your way through it for that sweet sweet uppercut of personal gratification.

Learn to always punch high on your road to greatness and start taking about the Punch Club, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Ah bugger, I bought it on Steam a few days ago. Wish I got it here. Cute game. Fights aren't controlled directly, instead you pick a selection of moves each round and watch the results with stat and ability modifiers. Everything outside of fighting is kind of like a life sim where you have to divide time between keeping the refrigerator full, training in the gym, and taking a job to pay for it all.

Maxvorstadt: Hm, looks kinda cute. Do you only watch the fights or do you control the fighter by yourself?
Apparently, you only watch the fights play out by themselves after selecting various moves for your fighter. It's essentially a weird management game.

Yahtzee and Gabe just made a video about this game.
Looks interesting, but you know.. regional pricing.
It also makes me remember 4D Sports Boxing.

Indeed. Especially the music :) 4D Sports Boxing has a great soundtrack by Michael J. Sokyrka, Kris Hatlelid and Brian Plank.

astroclay: It's always good to see a new release on Monday. For some reason the gameplay reminds be of an old SEGA classic: Best of the Best Championship Karate.
I can see the link but not the same at all, this is a management game, the most involvement you have during fight is choosing the move your fighter will use for that round.
Looks like a Kairosoft game (which is a good thing).
Looks interesting. Wishlisted for now.
The story is nice, only that you dont actually fight.
You control the character, help improve skills by training, grab money, etc.
There is areview by elder-geek on youtube.

Steam also has a refund policy .
Seen a let's play from Akwartz some time ago, looks cute but repetitive (along with not fairly priced :p but that's independant).

At least it's original for a management game.

Looks cool, wishlisted for now.
