Why are there no Galaxy Achievements for this game even though there are Steam Achievements?

I would like to say i feel the same way however... this game totally gets a pass cause it had so much love and time put into and it ended turning out very good. An absolute worthy sequel to a game that came out YEARS ago. It avoids the "not as good as the first" curse.
Thank you GOG, Double Fine, and Xbox for this amazing DRM-free release!
Seems the Mac and Linux versions are delayed by a few months.

No achievements, no buy.

it's a tim schafer game?

yeah, hard, hard, hard pass.
I will be snagging this soon but the AAA price is a bit steep, but I suppose it will be worth it, depending on my budget next check!

EDIT: Steam reviews are sitting at positive, so it's been well received so far! (23/24 positive)

Look, judging by the reviews, the game seems to be a worthy successor to the first one, well worth the money, and it's great that the game gets released here DRM-free on day 1 and it seems to be mostly feature-complete and I don't even care for achievements, personally...

But when a game gets released at a "AAA" price point, you'd think they'd also bother to implement achievements here.

I generally don't pay AAA prices for anything, so I will wait for a sale. I'm not saying it's not worth it... if any game is worth it this one probably is. But with hundreds of games in my backlog, I can just play something else until the price drops.

Also, I don't care about achievements, at all. Nor do I care about ANY comparisons to Steam. It doesn't exist to me, so what happens there is completely irrelevant to my existence.

So in short, I will definitely buy and play this, but I'm not in a hurry.

I agree with barleyguy by not being bothered by Steam or what´s goin on there, but this time I agree with the rest of the guys who are complaining about missing achievements - I don´t care about them at all, and I would understand with a release of an older game here, that devs don´t want to bother with them, but this is a new game and developers have no excuse not putting them there.

Myself I am still thinking whether to buy it for the full price or wait for a discount, but buy it here I will.

Oh man, what a bummer. I'm very confident I will get this at some point and the first one was one of the best and most interesting platforms I ever played, but at this price point, I still got plenty of other games to play.

Would have instabought at €29 and still have considered doing so at about €39, but at this price and no launch discount, I just wait a bit and see how it is and all.
I guess, I'll buy the first game. Wanted to snag both, but 60 is double the money I thought I'd spend.
Oh well, I can wait. :)
