Warlock and load.

Project Warlock is now available DRM-free, only on GOG.com.

Imagine if DOOM and Hexen got drunk one night and ended up skinny dipping. The pile of discarded clothes would perfectly fit Project Warlock, a retro-styled FPS with frantic combat featuring spells, guns, and ugly baddies waiting to be blown up in satisfying ways.

Project Warlock is an original, timed GOG exclusive launch title.
This game maaannnnn.....
It's been an awesome year for retro-inspired games but Project Warlock stands tall among the top tiers.
AMAZING gameplay and sound design, everything oozes classic FPS in a sexy fashion, the added rpg brushes is very nice too.
The fact that it is GOG exclusive, even for a short period, is a selling point without doubt.

BUY IT NOW!

Well, impulse buy. Played the first set of levels, really good. Its a bit hard on the eyes, so had to fiddle with settings, but fast paced fun. Music is great.
One thing though, it doesn't seem to go up beyond 1920*1080, nor does it seem to support widescreen which is a dissapointment.
Looking forward to playing it all the way through.
Is there a way to create maps for the game?

He needs to be a GOG affiliate like LGR.

Regarding the game:
Will it be available on steam? I really dislike GOG and I prefer to have all off my stuff on steam

:P

Wow! This is a wonderful surprise! Instabought, I hope it delivers on its promises to recreate a 90s "DOOM-clone" experience!
I'd instabuy if it had a Linux port.
No bucks until then.

hedtrip: Haves not pad controller support?
To answer your question, Project Warlock does have controller support, but if you primarily play PC games with a controller like me, then you might want to wait on for this game to get a few patches in first.

Here are some of the controller-related issues I've had with this game:
- difficulty navigating the options menu
- can't use the directional pad for navigating menus (personal pet peeve)
- controller sensitivity and analog deadzones are not great and don't have options to edit either (apparently the config file for the controls are in Windows Registry, not cool)
- When the game asks you if you really want to quit the game (a la Doom, Duke 3D, ect.), you won't be able to quit via a controller.

Edit: I forgot to mention one other problem I've noticed with this game:

- Binding looking and movement actions to a controller is surprisingly annoying given the deadzone issues.

Edit 2:
- The analog looking sensitivity is tied the mouse sensitivity

- Also, using the right stick to look is digital-based instead of analog-based. Who would do that? Why have analog controls be digital?

It does have a nice soundtrack with over 100+ tracks, though.

Until these issues are fixed, I don't know that I want to play anymore of this game.
