Raising anthills of glass and steel.

Project Highrise, a high-reaching building/management game with jazzy sensibilities, is available now for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com, with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and a 10% launch discount.

From the outside, skyscrapers look like capitalism-bred monstrosities, towering over the less privileged citizens and storeowners below them. But once you get to observe -and indeed build- their insides, it becomes apparent that they're in fact intricate ecosystems, surviving on a delicate balance of functionality, ambition, and profit. In Project Highrise, every store, apartment, or office floor is designed and arranged by you. You are responsible for the constant well-being and prosperity of this expanding vertical sandbox, so the tenants and employees of the building expect you to rise to the occasion. But sustaining a densely-populated, prestigious skyscraper is not enough: you must keep an eye out for opportunities that will make your construction future-proof and increasingly more desirable.

Plan, build, and curate the most awe-inspiring Project Highrise in town, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 10% launch discount will last until September 15, 10:59 AM, UTC.

Thanks God no zombies!

I enjoyed SimTower so I'll definitely keep my eye on it...
I was hoping that this game will also be released here ;-)

As already mentioned in the thread, LGR did an excellent review of the game. In short: It's Sim Tower (aka Elevator Manager) with a touch of Sim City, which means beside the obvious management stuff from Sim Tower and Yoot Tower you also need to organize cable management (electricity, water, etc) and you need have an eye what your renter also needs (special facilities like a copy shop, restaurants, limo service, etc). Regarding LGR it's a fine game, but at some point it still needs some more polish (graphics look very similar, but thanks to easy modification that can be changed by the community). The biggest concern (for me) is that the way you get informations isn't well done yet, which means you know that some renter have complains, but you don't know which one. In short, I will very likely get this game, but as my budget for entertainment is at the moment very tight I I will wait and see how the development will go on.
sandbox type game? no campaign or stuff to achieve etc?
Will gog carry the linux testing version that's available on Steam?

You can take up contracts within the game so they'll have things like "Build X amount of restaurants" and more :)

To add to that, there are some scenarios you can play. :)
LOL

So I just bought, downloaded, installed, and launched the game.

It has appeared on my secondary display not my primary. The graphics options have no display choice. https://sli.mg/aO76OL I guess it emulates Sim Tower better than I could have imagined. I'm sure I played that on an XGA display too.

Fairfox: Steamie had pre-order bonuses:
Steam, GMG and Humble apparently, though I imagine it all involves the Steam version anyway.
From what I've been hearing the mechanics are pretty sound in this one, but it lacks the charm of the old Sim/Yoot Tower games. I'd love to see the latter here.
So is this game similar to SimTower? Does it have a sandbox mode?
Saw this on YT, figured I'd wait till the GoG release~
I still don't understand why Smooth Operators was rejected by Gog .
