All the cool moves are belong to you.

Oniken: Unstoppable Edition, an 8-bit celebration of over-the-top action movies from the 80s and 90s, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 70% launch discount.

Global destruction! Mechanically-enforced oppression! Hardcore swag! All the best elements of the consistently gritty, disarmingly silly, and thoroughly entertaining action movies of yore are here. You are a death-dealing ninja mercenary, aiding the resistance in their hopeless battle against the tyrannical Oniken. Your reasons are your own. Your skills are your own. You are on your own. Yeah, that sounded way cooler unspoken.

Oniken is a pixelated bonanza of side-scrolling destruction, challenging boss fights, and endearing callbacks to the action movies and cartoons that got our blood pumping back in the day. But unlike their protagonists, you should be prepared to die. A lot. Would be a shame if you let that stop you from reaching those sweet cinematic cutscenes, though.

Unleash your inner action hero and rain death upon the villainous Oniken, DRM-free on GOG.com. To mark its arrival, JoyMasher's Odallus: The Dark Call is also 70% off.
The 70% discounts will last until August 31, 12:59 PM UTC.

I remember watching Oniken's development cycle years ago. Glad to see that the game finally made it to GOG!

*EDIT: Ninja'd by Grargar :P

Yes, might pick up both then, Odallus has been on the wishlist for a while, and for a £1 the other can't be that bad. So good deal.
As usual this hits gog after I bought it on Steam. Still, for that price I wouldn't mind buying it again assuming it will be supported by patches as other versions.

Hurrah for a Sega-esque side-scroller. I have this from a bundle or something, never got around to playing it. But at this price it would be good to have the definitive edition, plus patch releases. Thanks!
Fantastic release price and the MP3 soundtrack as bonus content. EDIT: Interestingly, a decent amount of bonus content for a newish game!

This, i'm a bit baffled as to why the DLC for Odallus is not on gog, though I think it's just cosmetic so no big deal for me.

The devs have been good so far with the patching of their other game (Odallus).

That somewhat puts me as ease compared to some of the other new and indie games that have had their gog versions utterly abandoned while the Steam versions keep getting bug fixes. Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition missing the 4 player mode and minor (I think) bugfixes is one such big example.
