Jalixx3: I can't stand this stuff. Undercooked eggs have the worst texture possible.

mqstout: Isn't that the truth. Undercooked eggs are gross. My husband happens to prefer his undercooked... gag. When I'm cooking eggs, they'll be thoroughly cooked. If he wants his half raw, he has to make them for himself.
Is your husband also on the Gog forum?

Being gay isn't depravity, it is 100% natural, normal and has been observed through the animal kingdom.
Its not flagged NSFW because there is no adult or erotic content, just 2 people in love living their lives

Praymettin: Why is this homo.... Hear out real gamers that actually PLAY games and don't want.....
Hey Real gamer here with almost 1000 titles on GOG, I've played or beaten them all. I want this game here from GOG, more then want, I will be buying it next week to have a DRM free version, Got to see the opening hour and was hooked on the experience.

Super secret surprise: I'm a straight white male with a wife, kids, a house, pets, and no debt.. NO WAY I hear you scream at the monitor, but wait there is more, I'm *GASP* a Republican too! (not a Trumplican thank you very much)

Omurice Next Time is an incredibly wholesome, and a wonderful "slice of life" story, something everyone should play/experience. It's eye opening and really shows was life is and could be for anyone, gay straight or otherwise. I urge anyone with the ability to give it a shot, try the demo, watch a long play or someone streaming it. You'll fall in love like I did and want to experience it for yourself.

We are all people in this world together, and the quicker we all realize it and start caring about each other instead of our wallets and appearances the better life will be for us and our children.

Why should it be tagged NSFW while any game that has people being killed is not tagged the same way? There are so many games on here that in your point of view promote murder, but that does not seem to be a problem.

It's something that I don't understand. Let's start a petition to get everything except Cats Hidden in … and the Devcats games tagged as NSFW.

What GOG should have prevented is that things like Gollum that are really unfinished reached any people. If you sell something like that it's very hard to reject anything due to “curation”.

I agree 100%. We should really question our morale standards. Even on Youtube you can find videos with (fake) head decapitations and bloody gore. But one female nipple in a non-sexual context is enough to get a video banned immediately! It's absolutely weird....

Regarding the art style, one explanation for it is the distinction from other visual novels, with an emphasis on cuteness, casualness, feel-good moments, slice-of-life, romance, and love. The other aspect is that this style meets with queer game aesthetics, as it is aiming to open that world up to anyone, providing a glimpse into their lives, and live experiences via the medium of games and visual novels. That, at least, is my understanding.

Scrubbing through the only available demo playthrough seems to confirm that it doesn't contain any adult content; otherwise, there would be an R18+ landing page and content warning.

On the topic in general, I recently read a book called Adventure Games: Playing the Outsider (Approaches to Digital Game Studies) devoting a whole chapter to this subject called "Breaking Boundaries in Visual Novels."

I can also recommend Sexuality in Role Playing Games (Routledge Advances in Game Studies)
Not very cheap, as they all are, but well worth the expense.

After two weeks, the Steam release only has 3 reviews and no forum posts. Yet this game gets released here whereas other - more competent and more popular - games got rejected for being too niche. I really want to see the sales figures for this one.
The curation team is a joke. Picking NSFW and itch trash left and right. lol, lmao even.

Remember the Grimoire issue? Yeah not even the curation team does.

You mean how it was an incompetently designed blobber whose only feature of note was how long it took to design because the lone dev was an auteur poseur with delusions of grandeur? Whose idea of a good time is to argue with people over petty issues and actual design flaws?

Yeah, I do wonder how a game so poorly made with such a toxic dev got waved though.

Immaculate_Simian: ...but why is the art style like Baby's First Coloring Book? I mean, apparently, it contains things like sniffing another dudes' whitey-thighties, and decidedly NOT child appropriate dialog.
Subversive I guess.

Thank you, GOG (and Griffin Cyan / MediBang Games).

This is an adorable addition to the catalog, and a wholesome look at the everyday lives of men in love.

I am both saddened and exhausted by the unnecessary negativity that has been directed toward LGBTQ2IA+ individuals around the world lately, so this release is a breath of fresh air.

Any product that uses blatantly child-like artwork to discuss/show sexual subject matter feels to me, at best, a product of the ongoing infantalization of western culture, and at worst, insiduous. I'm sure the game gets GOG some nice ESG points though.

Praymettin: ...with child book art to disguise their depravity?
Ever heard of or played Florence? Similar art style.
Character design like this is very common in East Asia cartoon and mangas, especially in Japan.

Take a Look at any Studio Ghibli films, Astro Boy, Doraemon... These are absolute classics, are they perversion too?

Don't know where your hatred came from, or is it you have a thing against the LGBTQ+ and Asian/Black?

So how do you feel about Star Fox Adventures?

Entirely serious (and probably odd) question - Does this game actually depict eggs with ketchup?

I'm asking because Omurice is an omelet filled with fried rice and topped with ketchup. As someone who eats prefers runny poached eggs, just the idea of sticking ketchup on eggs is a potential deal breaker.
