Kisima Inŋitchuŋa.

Never Alone Arctic Collection, half climactic puzzle-platformer, half lesson on a different world, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. Look out for the release at 67% off in the Big Fall Sale 24-hour Daily Deals!

Some games are good. Some games are important. Some are honest. Never Alone is all of those things.
Not long ago, the indigenous Alaskan community found themselves searching and searching for an investment that will both bring in more money to the community, and help promote their rather unfamiliar culture across the world. So, what better way to do that than by funding a video game?
Never Alone is as much a game as it is a historical piece on a culture most of us have heard of, but are hardly familiar with. There's love for the subject matter at every turn. The story, an old Iñupiaq folk tale, is narrated in the native language and supplemented with beautiful cutscenes that mimic the traditional ink art of the Alaskan people. As you play you'll unlock short videos, legitimately interesting cultural insights into the realities of growing up in an entirely different world than we're used to.

The Arctic Collection includes single player and local co-op, as well as a few extra hours of gameplay and a new folk tale with the Fox Tales DLC.

Life is treacherous and sudden in the snow covered wastelands of Alaska, and Never Alone Arctic Collection brings it out with love and respect, now DRM-free on GOG.com.

vicklemos: GOG should do a contest about "think you can you pronounce Kisima Inŋitchuŋa like an inuit? Record it and give it a go!" and then offer codes as rewards ;P

Fantastic release.
Made me reconsider all -mostly crap stuff- I thought I knew about modern day inuit people, much like the almighty Super Shamou and etc! ;D

Luned: My husband used to work for a subsidiary of the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation out of Barrow, Alaska, although we live in Georgia (the US state, not the country). I always got a kick out of watching the expressions on the faces of people having to type that in on forms at the doctor's office, school, etc. :)
Great story! There should be a Malintzin (or Malinche) for those special occasions, eh?
Only guys like Samir Nagheenanajar know the true pain! :P
Cool release GOG, great to see more good games here as always. :)

Pupcakes: Been eyeballin' this game on Steam for a while now. Glad I waited :D
Same here. Instant buy for me. Only just noticed the form post guess I'd just assumed it was on the site already and I'd not noticed.

hmm i noticed your "-300 Club!" in your description and current rep is -103 does that mean you want to be down reped so you can get to that number or you were there and cruel people up reped you.

Seems like a hard club to stay in.

It means, that he lost more than 300 points thanks to downrep-trolls.
I'd be in club -500 or so then.
Logged in...saw "Never alone"...looked at its gamepage...wondered, that no one had written a review for this beauty...remembered reading some (positive) articles on RPS, etc.,...put it into cart...put some others into cart...checked out...returned to main page...

...and there I realised: this is a new release - no wonder, no one reviewed it yet. ;o)

And congratz to the devs - releasing the game while a sale is active with a 67% release-discount, makes it seem a part of said sale, and is definitely a smart decision, under the given circumstances.

tl;dr: instabought!
Instabought.

And, if I'm not mistaken, there will be multiple new releases tomorrow, one of which should be Mini Metro.

Not as hard as you would imagine, -300 doesn't reflect the actual arbitrary points lost but it is the minimum entry requirement for the club.
Great! I've been waiting a long time for this release on GOG, Big Fall Sale got even better now

mintee: wow, I normally dont go in for platformers but this game looks so lovely and unique.... I'm sorely tempted
My thoughts exactly; at this price (67% discount) temptation gets the better of me. Bought!

The horror! :p
Graphically, this looks absolutely beautiful. Gameplay-wise, it seems to resemble Limbo quite a bit. All in all, it looks very very good.
Well that was an instabuy. Ty GOG! :D
When this first came out I was very happy to see it had a stand alone installer. So It was another great game I could own without Steam.

About 8 months Later the installer wouldn't launch. There support was quick and told me their launcher had been scrapped and sent me a Steam key.

I explained how disappointed I was, as my choice to buy was dependent on not being tied to Steam.

I am very glad they've released here. On sale too. So i've snapped up a new copy and sent an email to the devs thanking them for releasing on on GoG.
Nice to see this game here. I've been waiting for a DRM free version. I'll pick it up right now. Thank you to the developers and GOG!
