It reminds me Blasphemous, in a good way.
ok, an instabuy after a very long time for me... I've played the demo and it was marvelous, I really hope it lives up to my expectations (which are VERY high :D

it indeed looks very close to Blasphemous which I'm in the middle of playing and I love it... but Moonscars show even more production values
There are a lot of Souls-like games coming out lately. Moonscars has a very unique style and most importantly it supports all the Galaxy features, so it definitely has all my interest!
Saw a gameplay video in another thread earlier and liked it. Wishlisted.
A dark Blasphemous. Nice.
Can someone who played this be honest and let me know how difficult it is? I had very few issues with Blasphemous so is it on that level or a bit harder? Does my character die in one hit? Reason I'm asking is because I found out I wasted a lot of money on games over the years that I finally was able to install and play, only to find I didn't like several and uninstalled them. So I just want to make sure this is something that won't be a waste of money for me.

there's a demo available on steam, check it out if you can - it will give you a good idea what to expect
I don't use steam though. I'll just get a taste of it by other means and if I like it, I'll buy it.

maybe the demo will appear here eventually as well :) regarding the difficulty, it's hard to tell... Moonscars seemed easier than Blasphemous to me (at least when I tried both games' demos), but maybe Moonscars will get harder as you play...

but while I was able to finish Moonscars demo in one go without dying, I got my ass kicked A LOT when I started playing Blasphemous demo... but now I've put some time into the full version it's not so bad anymore ;)

EDIT: oh, and you don't die in one hit in Moonscars if I recall correctly... but then again, you don't in Blasphemous either

Game doesnt have rebindable controls yet, heed my warning, its very akward with kb n m
I would like to play game like these, but they are simply to hard. Where are the good old platform games like Blackthorne, Lost Viking, Bermuda Syndrome etc.? These were managable/playable and did also have saves or at least some codes you could write down and continue later :(

did you try unEpic, Inside, Dex, Rayman Legends, Spiritfarer, Creaks, Ministry of Broadcast... or for example The Cat Lady / Downfall Redux / Lorelai? there are many platformers that are more story / puzzles and less dying

Yes, I did try Rayman Legends on another platform, that was a fun game. The others you mentioned... not yet. Thanks for the suggestions.
