Some people like additional challenges when they finish the game. Or revisit parts and find secrets they missed during previous gameplay. Everyone has their reasons. Not saying they are important but they are nice to have imo.

ThomNG: Enjoy that release on GOG :) Hope you like it!

Cheers
Any chance we could get Wreckfest now?
I used to love monster trucks, but it's been decades since I got out of it, though I'm glad to see any game show up on GOG even if it's not for me...

Especially since it continues to prove that THQ Nordic is NOT the same as those thieves from Deep Silver.

There is nothing that prevents someone from accomplishing the achievements in the current version: all these missed secrets can be found here, all these additional challenges can be completed, etc..
There is no technical problem here - the problem is in the minds of those who are waiting for a pop-up sign from the store's client. Several large corporations have trained (successfully) some of the players that their pleasure hormones are produced by a pop-up sign. Now we see the consequences.
I'm pleasantly surprised to see this here, it feels like sports/sims based on licensed properties hardly ever make it to GOG. :)
Ugh, pass.

Nice to see some different game though.

Nope, the problem is in the fact that steam has achievements, but not the GOG version. But the price is the same.

Your opinion about achievements and people who like achievements for whatever reason that may be, doesn't really matter.

Try not to judge others, thinking you know everyone and everything, please. You only sound like a spoiled little child.

Thank you and have a nice day!
What about Monster Preserves or Monster Jelly?

The Steam version contains this feature, let's call it "automatically managed achievements" to distinguish them from the manual approach.

In other words: The DRM-free version is a sort of lesser version. I don't care about achievements but I'm not a fan of "DRM-free Editions" with features stripped.
So much whining.
Meh.

Awesome reply. That should be posted in every thread with complaints about missing achievements.

Could you write up something similar as a reply to "Why is there no Linux version?" and "Meh, pixel graphics..." ?

I think then most of the basics would be covered.

It's not an ingame feature though, I think that would be a legit complaint. This is client based features, cool to have but not important.
I don't remember exactly when, but some time relatively recently (a couple of years ago?) there was another monster truck game which was according to most, crap.

For anyone who has tried this one, is it a solid game?
