All the lonely people.. Where do they all belong?

Memoranda, a surreal point & click adventure about the magical side-effects of isolation, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 15% launch discount.

Everybody in this small town is looking for something: shelter, companionship, their very identity. Inspired by the pages of Haruki Murakami, the quaint cafés and picturesque alleys paint a lovely picture, but they do little to ease the pain of the quiet, broken people living here. Among them a young woman who struggles to remember who she is, and must seek the help of peculiar characters, like an elephant living in a timid man's cottage and a soldier still haunted by his WW II memories.

Welcome to Memoranda, a hand-drawn world that hides your real name in its magical realism, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 15% discount will last until January 31, 4:30PM UTC.

amrit9037: What is this game's propaganda?

Zoidberg: ?
Does this game has any panda?
Nothing to do with the game but : I love all the references than GOG put in the first sentence of the text of games' release pages... Reference to Batman Returns with Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight, reference to The Beatles with this Memoranda... It became a game for me to find the origin of these references !

Seems to be a nice game btw.

Fairfox: Teh Momodora threadie was right below teh one for Memoranda here an' I got all confuzzled for a second.
Momodora Memoranda est!

(probably crappy latin)
Has a certain "moody" feel, which appeals to me, hope it doesn't cross (too much) into "depressing" territory. Like the art style, and love the piece that plays in the trailer, hopefully a representative appetiser of the whole soundtrack which I'm glad to see included.

A point and click adventure game with magic realism elements
Don't know f it qualifies as "magic", but that guy puking on the table was more than enough realism for me; yikes.

People puking? I'll pass.
The art style is gorgeous and the game looks very promising!
For some reason this reminds me of The Triplets of Belleville

Hello, this game is really pretty (as you can see). The plot is wierd but interesting. It feels like inspired by Japanese literature - seems real and deep but is surreal and fairy-tale-like. Lots of cats. Mandatory Alice in Wonderland reference. Lots of talking, wandering around, collecting, combining things and solving puzzles. Because of surreal setting, puzzles don't make sense. Music is pleasant but forgettable. Recommended for point-and-click adventure lovers. People that got interested but hesitate, should give this game a try because it's truly beautiful and unique.

Now, does anyone know how to enter the house where the elephant is hiding because I'm stuck. D:

SmashManiac: Wow, I'm seeing Steamboat Willie in the screenshots. That's pretty ballsy. Are they planning to challenge Disney's copyright claim on it?
Wikipedia says:

Recent evidence suggests that the film may be in the public domain owing to technicalities related to the original copyright notice.
But depending on how much of, and how, it is in the game, and if it's properly credited, it might be perfectly fine as a quotation anyway.

This is troubling me. When "surrealism" intrudes adventure games, the result can vary from annoying to infuriating. I get that the puzzles should fit the context of the game, I just wish that puzzles in abstract/surreal games would not get silly and over the top for the sake of surrealism.
I'll wishlist for now, but this is a definite buy for me - look at them graphics!

But too much point and click in my gog library to play before this.
I`m so glad I grew up in times when concept of serving coffee in a bookstore would be considered a sacrilege.
It's so pretty I won't mind getting stuck. Instabought.
