Don't get cocky, in the name of love!

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, a mix of mini-platforming, strategy and co-op action, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now with a 10% discount!

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is something of a platformer, something of a strategy game, and lot of space-action. It's no surprise that floating across the infinite reaches of space opens you up to quite a few pirate attacks - so you better learn to defend yourself. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime features space combat unlike any before - it's jumpman meets Asteroids, strongly inspired by that one scene from Star Wars when everybody starts scrambling to their turrets and Han Solo goes "Don't get cocky" and is super cool about it. That same mix of chaos, coordination, and badassery welcomes you with open arms as you race around the ship - managing shields, turrets, and flying your ship. Though best served co-op with a sprinkle of friend, or lover - you always have the option of playing with yourself!

Fight in the name of love in Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last until Wednesday, September 16, 12:59 PM GMT.
From the game card:
LOVERS IN A DANGEROUS SPACETIME is a frantic 1- or 2-player couch co-op action space shooter.
It seems odd to refer to a PC game as "couch co-op". Sounds like this was developed with consoles in mind. Can anyone who has tried it comment on the controls?

There's been a slew of couch co-op indie games lately (most of 'em not released on GOG, though) that don't even have a console release (like this game). :) I think you can rest assured that the devs tested the M&K controls enough, but these kinds of games benefit from having a gamepad or an Xbox control since you can actually do the 'couch' part then.

Somewhat unrelated heresy, but I hope the Steam Controller is everything it promises to be... more couch, less desk for me!
you should get an xbox controller for this even on PC. aiming is much easier with a controller. and you won't have to cram the same keyboard with your partner.

yes this game is better to be played with a partner. there is a single player mode but it can be very difficult to pilot the 8-crew ship with only you and your dog/cat in later stages even in Causal mode.

it is a great game and pretty unique in terms of how the coop mode requires constant communication and each person to do her/his job. you know in most coop games one person can just carry the other person if the other person is not that good. this game requires both persons to work together closely. control is easy enough and you can play Causal mode if your partner is video game challenged.
