Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy, the greatest Jedi simulators ever created, are available now DRM-free on GOG.com! You can get both titles up to 77% off in our Star Wars Saber Bundle.

Where Dark Forces II introduced lightsabers and force-powers for the first time ever in gaming, the subsequent sequels blew your Jedi experience completely out of the water. More spectacular powers, and challenging, parry-based swordplay are the mark of these two titles.
In Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast, Imperial-officer-turned-mercenary-turned-Jedi Kyle Katarn's story continues. A dark evil threatens the galaxy again, and Kyle must return to the Force one more time. Once more, you'll walk the path of light, or lean on the powerful tools of the darker side. Once more, you'll wield your lightsaber, face dark Jedi, and mow down entire bases worth of buttery-soft stormtroopers. In Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy, you get to become a Jedi. Undergo training at the Jedi Academy under the watchful eyes of Kyle Katarn and Luke Skywalker himself. Master the force, and choose your weapon. Will you wield the elegant single-bladed lightsaber, confound your enemies with two, or master the destructive force of the exotic double-bladed saber?

Relive the apex of saberplay in Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast & Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy. Available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last until Thursday, May 7, 6:59 AM GMT.

Well, now I can say all my favorite old PC games are on GOG.com, good work guys!
Great releases, I've been waiting for those! (Almost) instabuy - just need to wait a day or two for the money transfer from one account to the other.

But I gotta say, I really love the game cards for Star Wars™ games:
As a new student of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy, follow an ancient tradition and learn the powers - and dangers - of the Force™.
[...]
Interact with famous classic Star Wars™ locations and characters
[...]
Construct custom lightsabres™
Hey, with the new exchange program does anyone know if I can trade it my Steam copy of Impaler for a GOG copy that doesn't troll the forum pestering us with his Steam purchase bullshit THAT NO ONE FUCKING CARES ABOUT!?!?!

:D
avatar
Impaler26: Already have the games on Steam so i'll pass - as always. :D
avatar
ne_zavarj: Who the fuck cares about what games do you own on Steam . Shall i go over the Steam community and whine about the games that are already on GOG ?
i'm really wondering what your problem is. maybe its a great idea if you whine on steam about your wishlist instead here.
Nice, both Outcast and Academy released here at the same time

Bethezer: For multiplayer I think you will need something like hamachi - JA was on gamespy I think, and gamespy is dead.
Wasn't that just for matchmaking? As long as I have the IP, I should be good to go, right?
Incredible release!! Tough final bosses from what I remember, especially Academy.

HG1995: Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy gets good just as it's ending.
avatar
tinyE: WHAT!? You get a sabre and powers from the get go! It's good from beginning to end! :D
I would say it gets really good as it's ending, mostly because the ending is pretty much a sabre-on-sabre fest all the way through :D

HG1995: Yeah I agree. As soon as hit post realized that I should of said that I didn't get into it until towards the end
But that was just me not being totally focused on the game at the start.
Still a great game

tinyE: These games are like pizza; even when they are bad they are still really good.
Anyone remember that movie with John Ritter in it where they ran around in almost total dark, but were wearing those glow in the dark Condoms? Why hasn't that been uploaded to Youtube with Lightsabre sound effects dub?

[ EDIT ]
Found the original scene. Absolutely NSFW. Absolutely Hilarious.

Once you think you might stop laughting, watch it again and imagine Light Sabre Sound Effects.

When you metioned it... probably? I think they have the last version, so it shouldn't be problem... Have to wait and see though, I play it on multi a long time ago, so now I'm not sure. ^.^"
Picked up outcast (on of my all time favs) - hoping for Linux support soon.
Great! GREAT!!! GREEEEAAATTTTT!
Yes! I waited for Jedi Knight 2 and 3 here. :)

One thing though:
The game card says
Languages: Audio and text: Deutsch, English, español, français
But the library only says "English".
