No clue how this is listed as an RPG. It looks like it's through and through a strategy game.

Also:
procedural generation to the strategy game formula
That says itself it's a strategy game, not an RPG. Other blurbs in there too make it clearly a strategy game. Video completely shows it's a strategy game.

It's generally helpful to read the store description, which says:
While exploring the overworld and developing your town and army are both turn-based, giving you time to think and plan out your next moves, in battles your units will do the best to fight for themselves in real time - all hundreds of them.
It's probably "RPG" because of the "leveling up your hero" thing, but that would apply to games like HOMM, which is not categorized as RPG.

This seems to be one of the many cases where somebody confused "includes some RPG elements" with "is an RPG". Much like how many (most?) people can't tell the difference between "has some aspects of Rogue-like design" and "is a Rogue-like".

Well, the game looks a lot like HomM and compadres, those all qualify as role players, strategic, management, hero, army roleplayers that is

I played its demo on Steam and it is basically HoMM. It's real time battles are automated for the most part. It's not bad, but I'd rather just play more HoMM.

It was at $10 USD when it was only on itch.io, before its "big launch" on GOG and Steam (and update to 2.0 in the same time) !
