A fast paced strategic roguelike FPS where you take the role of a pirate mech with a gun for a head, looting derelict spaceships filled with monstrous drones made out of bone and steel.

GUNHEAD, a sequel to the 2D roguelite Cryptark, is now available on GOG!

In GUNHEAD, you’ll be challenged with boarding and neutralizing procedurally generated alien starships to earn income for their Privateering enterprise. The decaying alien arks will defend themselves from intruders with a wide arsenal of cyborg monstrosities, robotics, and security systems, all obstacles that must be surpassed to achieve victory: the destruction of the ship’s central System Core.

Time for some action! Grab GUNHEAD now!
I like Alientrap's games, so I'll give this a shot, but I thought it was this GUNHED at first:

Aesthetically, I prefer Cryptark much more, but it goes to the wishlist anyway.
Hm, rogue-like. I'll pass.
Alientrap devs seriously need to learn how to implement achievements on GOG if they want my attention, so far they are failing.
I enjoyed Cryptark. I’m not sure about the change to a FPS, but I’ll give it a shot.
Ahh, neat. I was hopping this would make it over here. I enjoyed original (especially the excellent music), if they can capture the same energy in this version it'll be a fun time.

Edit: Just realized that the OST isn't for sale here, but it is over on steam. That's a bit of an oversight that I hope will get resolved soon.

Ditto. Especially with FPSeses the whole procedural sameness of it all just never fucking works for me. Rather than wasting time and money on these I'll play yet another fun Doom/Quake mod instead. ;) Hell, I'm even happy to pay for commercial total conversions such as Hands of Necromancy or Hedon. Not to mention the resurgence of all the "boomer" shooters that don't rely on glued-together sets of lego blocks.
It's not even funny anymore with the goddamn roguelikes. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing procedurally generated levels in FPSes.

That's not even my biggest problem with those games. I hate it to lose everything I worked for every time I die. It's frustrating and gets boring really fast. Even when the core gameplay is really good, for example with Dead Cells.
I don't feel like playing almost the same levels and bosses over and over again, that's just tedious.

Oh, I agree 100%. That's my reaction to roguelites of all kinds. It's just that when it's an FPS the procedurally generated levels sort of stack up on top of everything you've mentioned already. Also it was meant to be a refrence to a speech made in the movie Bull Durham :D

Before I purchase Gunhead I would like to know if Alientrap Games has patched the problems with their previous game Cryptark?

Specifically the second player's being unable to use Shields, teleportation, cloak, etc during coop multiplayer?

GOG forum thread about it can be found here.
FPS, I'll pass.
Roguelikes are a waste of time. A pig said so:
