Humans dip their toes into the sea of space

Galactic Civilizations III: Rise of the Terrans, the story of the founding and early struggles of the Terran Alliance, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The universe is a pretty big place. Full of diverse galactic civilizations, divided under the common goal of exploring, conquering, and dominating it. The Terran Alliance is one such force, but how did it reach its current status? How did the other races greet mankind's early intergalactic steps? Rise of the Terrans lets you explore that turning point in our history as you strive to build an empire, make the right choices, and deal with the overwhelming threats that arise from this expansion. Can you convince the other civilizations to make some space for the Terrans?

Delve into an intriguing prequel campaign that chronicles the Rise of the Terrans, DRM-free on GOG.com.
I was wondering when this would show up :)

Thanks for the release!

Already live :)
I am glad that I never brought this game.
Amount of DLC is getting ridiculous.

Thanks! I saw the update blue dot but it didn't show a changelog a few minutes ago, nor a download for the patch separately. I'll go download it now!
Just gog a big Newsletter about GalCiv3 with 2 big stylish green buttons: "Buy from Stardock" "Buy from Steam". Nearly thought they do not know gog sells their games if it was not for the very last part of the fineprint "Steam is required to play this game, unless purchased from GOG.com."

More 'put together over the weekend for $5' DLC for the broken game from Stardock. I feel sorry for the fans with hope that got caught up buying this game.

Actually meant "got"... but it looks good as it is even if unintentional :D
Regularly priced $110 for everything? Hmm.
I want to like this game. Sadly for some weird reason every Stardock 4x I played feels a bit off. For some reason it doesn't feel fun. Will wait for all DLCs to come out and will get them on a sale.

Many thanks !
Too bad that, although launched during the big Summer sale, there is neither a launch discount nor a bundle with a discount.

I suppose the sale isn't over yet - so maybe (but doubtful) it will pop up yet.

(The reason I think it is doubtful is because, a new title would garner initial sales momentum, and by discounting it just a day or a few after that launch, GOG would have to do a bunch of "price fixing" for those initial buyers - something they'd be astute enough to realize ahead of time, and thus they'd launch with a discount if one was impending..)

Wishlisted (for that some-day bundle)..
