Quite the tilty pleasure.

Epic Pinball: The Complete Collection is now available exclusively and DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount until December 7, 2PM UTC. Buy it together with the Jazz Jackrabbit series and get 25% off instead.
Life was so simple back in the 90's. All you needed to have fun was some time at the arcade, a sweet soundtrack, and balls of steel! Epic Pinball contains all three and it's now back to challenge your reflexes in 12+1 thematically diverse tables, each with up to 4 flippers that will test your virtual tilting skills to the limit.

If you're looking for an extra dose of platforming and pinball goodness, check out our Special Sale - but be quick, it ends December 1st, 11PM UTC!

muntdefems: Truth be told, I always preferred Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies over Epic Pinball, but this is a nice and welcomed release nonetheless!
Truth to be told, i always preferred (edit: typo) the real thing. :P Pinball video games never appealed to me and there is no apparent reason for this; maybe because something (obviously big) was missing?

I don't remember that I ever played with the jazzy rabbit (sorry, bunny lovers), but I had a lot of fun with Epic Pinball.
Especially with the Excalibur table; still hear the sounds of it.

That was in the dark past when I bought (or "borrowed") a shareware collection, and my kids found a note on the school yard with some codes.... (Shame on you gixgox).

To make up for my sins, I instabought the complete Epic Bundle today.

drmike: Just to mention another sale just popped a few minutes ago containing a number of the other pinball games here:

I don;t see any News post yet.
Look the OP again. Its last line. :P

Thank you for pointing it out. I assumed incorrectly that the link in the original post was to the listing for the Jackrabbit and pinball games combined with their 25% off pricing. I was also more concerned about the bug I mentioned up above.

I've also got a lovely lady about 10 feet away from me today who thinks a half a bottle of perfume is acceptable here at the library.
Cool. Now all we need is Psycho Pinball, which I consider the best of all 2D-scrolling pinballs. Come on, Codemasters. Give it to us!

timppu: Then again, I never really like scrolling pinball games (including Dreams/Fantasies) because I wanted to see the whole table (how else to know where to aim the ball, if you don't see the target?).
Practice/habit, and focusing on where the ball is, now. Many/most of the Dreams/Fantasies games had left/right upper tracks; racking up huge continuation bonuses on them was the height of my pinball experience, and if I actually looked at what I was doing, I'd probably miss.

That said, thank you all for answering my question for me (how does this compare to Fantasies/Illusions on the Amiga) before I even looked. I guess I'll make it a low-priority wishlist item.
Pretty neat, I'm really in the mood for pinball games.
You gotta love those five 5 star-rated reviews that are shown when hovering the cursor over Dream Pinball 3D. ;)

Do you thrust?! (Hint: "Bad Santa" (the movie) + pinball; might not be appropriate for all ages though (PG 15?))

[Couldn't resist, sorry!]
Neat, Cyborg girl is among the most famous ones. Low requirements, this is already better in terms of gameplay and graphics than Pinball Dreams. ;p
I read that Epic Pinball was programmed in assembly language.

I loved this game, and the Android table music!
Innnstaballled.
Great to see this one.
I'm already anticipating the soundrack 8-)

Epic Pinball is not a bad pinball game at all, but the tables on e.g. those Fantasies/Illusions, let alone Pro Pinball, games tend to be more "diverse". Epic Pinball tables are somewhat simpler. Technically Epic Pinball is pretty good too, smooth scrolling and Amiga-like tracker (MOD) music.

Also, I think one Epic Pinball table needs an extra mention: Enigma. It is quite a different kind of table you are probably used to seeing.

So if you like electronic pinball games, Epic Pinball is still worth it, even if it is maybe the best pinball game on GOG.

Couldn't hurt to shoot them an email: http://www.codemasters.com/contact-us/
I'm really enjoying this game. I like that they're simpler kind of tables. I prefer that over some of the overcomplicated beasts some pinball games can be. It also got some kickass music. :) Can you tell I haven't really played Epic Pinball before? ;)
