Fantastic Beasts And How to Slay Them.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, the monster-hunting epic that keeps challenging you with dynamic encounters, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 60% launch discount.

Tackling monsters shouldn't be just a roadblock in your epic adventure - it should be the very essence of it. In this massive open-world RPG every fight is its own reward thanks to the dynamic mechanics and deep customization. Train and upgrade your A.I. controlled pawns to fight alongside you or share them online with other adventurers and get rewarded for their exploits.

The 60% discount will last until June 20, 1PM UTC.

NOTE: The game comes with full GOG Galaxy support including Cloud saves, leaderboards, and achievements. Additionally, both the Pawn system and Ur Dragon work exactly as in the Steam version. Keep in mind, however, that the GOG Galaxy servers are separate from the Steam ones, meaning that this is a fresh start.

Watch the trailer.

adaliabooks: I'm assuming this is real time rather than a turn based RPG?

Not sure if that would be my thing or not but nice release Gog.

I knew it was coming thanks to SPCM, but I didn't expect it so soon after the Bethesda games...

If we get this on Monday what do we get on the proper release days? ;)
played the original on my kid's ps3 a few years ago and it's pretty excellent. it's like if devil may cry and oblivion made sweet sweet love and produced this.
high rated
GOG getting so many good games lately. <3

Mafwek: GOG, what the fuck is wrong with you? You are releasing AAA games at the speed Steam is releasing garbage!
lol +1

Aramandur: Use Steam Refund option.

Prah: You can refund it on Steam!
Well, I love this game so I have 40 hours on it already :)

Woot! A magnificent release today, where Dragon's Dogma is nesting atop my wishlist! Good thing I haven't procured it on Steam yet. Transferring this goodness to GOG here. :D

Was wondering whether to buy some Bethesda games or wait for the summer sale and then this appears. I traded my 360 copy of Skyrim for this and enjoyed it immeasurably more. Still haven't played the Dark Arisen expansion, so this is a must-buy for me.

I'm always amazed that in an age where publishers milk their IP to death, Capcom don't seem willing to make another.
Thank you so much Capcom and GOG, this is awesome! Please bring more of your titles here.
Well, I didn't expect Capcom to debut with just a single game, but OK, I won't look the gift horse in the mouth.

But let me be the party pooper and ask; is it regionally-locked in Japan?

I may pick it up eventually and try it, thanks :)
What was that mention in the video trailer about 60 frames/s? A warning that it is capped at that? I have seen monitors with higher refresh rates showing up more even if I doubt they are that common yet.

Game looks like lots of action, hopefully fun action.
Ok. That's it. No more quality releases this year. GOG's core is overlaoded now.

But back on-topic: DAMN!! (buying this for third time - Steam, PS3, GOG). Well worth it. Sorry Oblivion, you have to wait. Something much better came around.

Hahaha, best comment i've read in a while! +1
I already own this but very nice addition to the GOG catalog.

Now will someone fly to Japan and bonk the suits over the head who are blocking RE1-3/Dino Crisis 1-2 for being repackaged on PC(at least that's the scuttlebutt)? Maybe GOG should make a deal with Capcom and make the old-school PS1 horror classics GOG exclusive.

I think Mega Man Legacy collection, even if it's stripped out, is an obvious choice. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 with 6-10 should release day and date with steam.

Ultra Street Fighter 2, Third Strike HD and Ultra Street Fighter 4 should all be released too...clearly USF2 isn't selling enough to justify remaining a switch exclusive.
I really pity indie devs of Brigador, Rezrog, Lock Quest and other released at the same time as Fallouts and Dragon Dogma...
looks interesting, does this have story elements or is it just go out and slay some big monster just because?
