Time to spy on some unaware primates in their natural habitat! Invade their privacy, observe their daily routines, learn their darkest secrets. Will you attempt contact with them? Warn them? Blackmail them? Or will you abide by the damn RULES and remember that whatever you do, you should never EVER feed the monkeys?

Is this a game in the vein of 'Papers, Please'?

Sure seems like it.
Still, this studio should release something different apart from spying games, or they are going the way of Telltale Games.

And the penguins? Will you feed this game to them?

You need to use multiple links in a line properly:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/multiple_links_in_a_line_workaround

The extra space should go before the first link, not the second. Like so:
Owners of Beholder or Beholder 2 on GOG.COM are eligible for an additional 10% discount.
Due to complains that a game that features apes and bananas can be seen as racist in todays society, we have ultimately decided to change apes and bananas for oranges and giraffes to avoid any confusion, thank you for understanding.

So yup too risky putting down money for this game.

i_hope_you_rot: Don't know about you but i'm fed up with these political themed games .
and tons more to come .... ٩(×̯×)۶

anyway political themed games are hard to avoid, in a way every game might contain some political parts or politics involved.

example:

Jagged Alliance , my favorite games, mercs and tyrants and lots of boom and bang cotain politics, they have to remove the current 'ruler' and free the country. ≖‿≖

Commandos , in a way politics are involved , enemy occupation because of war, war started by: gues what: people, people = politics and vice versa add soldiers and lots of guns and ammo ≖‿≖

Fallout games, basically deep inside: problems casue by: wars, which were caused because of: yup: (bad) politics.

Games based on empires: roman, egyptian, etc etc etc ... ≖‿≖

the list is endless .... so there are lots of smiling faces ≖‿≖

Anyway games can be fun and still progress fast, that is with the action games, games with loads of texts are slow and will take too many time imho, thats why i stick with the fast politics: assemble mercs , drop team in she ites hole were the problems are... bang boom bang voila , evil ruler gone in game , the real text games and simulation and spy on anyone take too many valuable time, life isnt infinitive so we have to play as much games as possible instead of spending half of our life on 4 or 5 simulation/spying games.

≖‿≖ gonna start another ja2 adventure and remove some unwanted evil rulers again :D

edit:
corrected a few typos ≖‿≖

maybe, but if i want to buy a game i do not care what others might think................i even should not have to think what others might think ≖‿≖
Anyway this kind of game(s) are not my type , takes too much time and time is preecious cause there is so little of it (left) so when playing i want to have fun and progress... so its yup back again to replay ja2 games all over again...
commandos, baldurs, ( only the classics ofcourse)

Exactly but this was never a point in what other people might think just like Chuchel, it's a point of what you get when you buy the game and how it might change and turn into in the future when all hopes of refunds has expired and that result is unknown whether it's for it's benefit, detriment or just makes it crap.

I did exaggerate ofc but at first glance it seem just like the thing some people might get upset over especially when other games get affected because some idiot might connect bananas and apes, after Chuchel this no longer seems as far fetched as it once did.

This game and similar games as Papers Please don't appeal to me either way so no loss here.

If you have Do Not Feed the Monkeys in your shopping cart the price is €8.39. If you add Beholder (€1.49), the price becomes €7.29. So the total is only €0.39 more.

What makes you think giraffes can't be construed as racist? :)
