Bought just in case, discount for both classic games is pretty good.

RoboPond: Does the discount for owning both ever end? As I shall get them next week, as 66% is pretty good.
There is no indication for limited time offer.

XYCat: what is the difference between this and the previous release here on gog?
Original games ported from Genesis 16-bit to PC with better sound and worse picture, for example Alladin has intro song (a few words) but the picture height is limited by larger interface, making the game really hard to play on some levels.
Remakes have all major versions from consoles with "better" graphics and sound with tweaks.

I'm going to check the games right now.
Alladin has 4 versions:
- Console S (no idea, looks and feels like Genesis/Mega Drive), - S could mean SEGA (Genesis/Mega Drive)
- Final Cut (with fixes, looks and feels exactly the same as previous one),
- Demo Version (figures),
- and Japanese Version (figures)
There is no speech in intro song ("a whole new world") and music is worse than on PC with AWE32 / General MIDI. Music in menu is remastered, options are limited, save, load and rewind are available, also level change and additional materials (art work, movies about making the game).
SNES exclusive made by Capcom (copyrighted) is not part of the deal.

Lion King has 3 versions:
- Console N (no idea, looks and feels like original PC game) - N could mean Nintendo (SNES)
- Console S (no idea, looks and feels like inferior console port with slightly distorted colors and pixelation)
- Japanese Version (figures)
There is a speech in level start ("it starts"), music and sounds feels the same as on PC.

All games are in 4:3 ratio with borders, black bars or stretched option (ugly as hell).

I have mixed feelings, I thought I could play the game with original picture and remastered for 16:9, with options available for different music & sound from console on the fly, or with remastered enhanced music & sound. These are just Genesis ports with SVGA menu and additional materials.

Comparing minimum and recommended specs, I'm wondering what that extra 6GB of RAM is going towards.

PaterAlf: No need for a VPN. You can choose any country in the settings. Doesn't mean that you get the regional pricing of that country of course.
Zuerst danke für deine Antwort. Sprichst du aber kein Deutsch? Ich glaube, ich habe dich mit jemand anders verwechselt, entschuldige!
Huh. That's actually a pretty decent discount for previous owners like me. Much better than I was expecting. Hmmm. What to do... what to do...

Doch, ich spreche deutsch und komme auch aus Deutschland. Verwechselst mich also wahrscheinlich nicht.
One more title without achievements.

Many here may not like it, but it is always very annoying that many games released here have feature missing, even though they are present on all other platforms.

Is lion king on par with the DOS version? If someone could check, I'd appreciate it. Also the 64 bit requirement is a bit over kill. atleast the dosbox version had wider compatibility. If gog could add the classic dosbox version, I'd appreciate it

F in hell! How much! Think someone needs to fund their next 3 Star Wars films. Is beamdog in anyway involved (it’s their modus operandi = widescreen mod + huge price hike).

Dray2k: What has vanished from the store has been restored again.

Some might even call this the circle of life.
Or the circle of greed. Remove reasonably priced games. Put them back for a much higher price. The usual.

Well, in this case there is at least some added value. But still the price is very, very steep! I'll wait for a 90% discount.

Disney was doing Beamdog long before Beamdog arrived on the scene.
I regret not getting the original version of Lion King the last time it was on sale. I have a feeling that this will never drop below $24.99 or so.
