When all your friends want you very dead.

<span class="bold">Crawl</span>, a couch co-op dungeon crawler where your friends are the monsters, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount.

Enter a randomly-generated dungeon full of threats, loot, and treasures. Take solace in knowing that your friends will come along. Shudder at the cruel machinations they have in store for you – for they are the enemy, a volley of monsters and dangers out to take you down. <span class="bold">Crawl</span> is best experienced with 2-4 players, but there's also plenty of fun to be had as you hone your skills against bots and throughout the game's many single-player challenges.

The launch discount will last until April 18, 8:00 AM CET.

Is there cross-platform multiplayer between the different versions (Win/Mac/Lin and Steam/Gog)?

I was hoping for a classic release today. Perhaps this has been "Coming Soon" long enough that it qualifies. ;)

I think you meant "When a game looks like if all your friends got drunk and vomited all over your screen". I mean damn, even by the standards of all the pixelated "so retro" indie games this is remarkably ugly.

Come on, it's low-res, but it actually has a nice art style and great color choices. Remember that old fighting game we got last week? Now that one was fugly. :D

On topic, somehow it's almost sad to see it released after all this time. The "upcoming" list isn't the same without Crawl.

Hm, probably pointless as a single-player game, but looks like it could be really fun in multi-player mode.
