Saw the secreenshots, thought "Cat Lady", "Downfall", "Lorelai" and I knew that I will buy this instantly. Thanks GOG for bringing it here.

@Devs and gog team : Why is it has a 40% off discount in another store at the same time ?

Just asked devs about it on Twitter. Maybe it was a mistake and they will change it? Fingers crossed. Honestly - the difference is so high that I guess I will refund it in case this won't get changed.

GOGers treating as second class customers, maybe? I like Harvester and purchased all their games but I really hope that this is a mistake that will be rectified.

Okay, regarding the pricegap between Steam and GOG I got a reply from the dev:

"It's a standard release discount. It's a new game on GOG - can't really sell it for -40% on release day. I'd say given the price of some games out there it really isn't that high anyway."

I wasn't aware that it has been on Steam since quite some time. At least for me it is understandable that a launch discount for a new game has to be lower than a sale discount for a game that has been on the platform for quite some time. I would not even call the pricegap second class treatment now since we are talking about different circumstances. I've decided to keep the game since I completely understand the devs pov ... and he's also correct when he says that the game is not overpriced at all.

is this the first time you notice that games can have different discounts on different stores? it works both ways as well, sometimes a game has a higher discount on gOg than on Steam. Right now, for example, Dragon Age: Origins have -75% on gOg, while it is -70% on Steam. why not ask EA and gOg to make parity here? and while you are at it - do the same on all other games that has different dicounts as well.

the only time you should ask about differences in price, is on the base price. and that is the same on gOg and Steam. other than that - different stores have different promotions

it is not a price gap, the base price is the same, there is parity here. it is very common that games have different promotions on different stores, and it works both ways. sometimes a game has a higher discount on gOg, sometimes on Steam.

Agreed but if we were talking about a launch discount for both platforms (and I wasn't aware that this is not the case) it would mean that GOGers would get the worse deal. Which might happen but also would show that platforms are treated differently for no apparent reason. This is not the case here since it is a launch discount only on GOG (Steam might have received the same launch discount when it was released there) so my point of complaint got invalidated already.

Of course in different sales you might get different discounts on different platforms - but that was not what I was talking about.

I'll let it pass this time, since I see the GOG version as more valuable, but otherwise I would disagree with such a statement, especially since achievements are missing. It's the same game, regardless of platform. A late release on a different platform does not make it a new game.

Swap Steam to Epic and GOG to Steam and suddenly there would be so much outrage that prices would equalise immediately lol.
