Three new races stand against an ancient threat.

Revenge of Antares Race Pack, a new DLC for the massive 4X strategy game, offering three new playable races ready to stand against Antares, is now available for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com.

No matter how much you expand your galactic empire, there are always going to be surprises lurking behind an unexplored corner. Like the aquatic Trilarian, who value peace above all else, but are prepared to stand their ground, when the situation calls for hostilities. Or the lucky Gnolams, who excel at trading and leading extravagant lives, steeped in luxury and intrigue. And what about the xenophobic Elerians, who offer a new gameplay perspective due to their persistence in preserving their cultural purity against the other races?

Master of Orion has also just received a free expansion featuring the enigmatic and war-thirsty Antarans. Players will have the option to recruit new leaders, while doing battle with these genetically engineered foes, whose existence is deeply rooted in the series' lore.

Meet three new alien races as you explore the Revenge of Antares Race Pack, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Master of Orion is now 50% off until December 11, 10:59 PM UTC.

If you're talking about offline installers, they will be available with a short (15-30min) delay. Sorry for that.

GOG.com: ... now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux,
Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it.
Yeay :)

A grand marshal? Who is that usurper and what happened to the empress? oO
Holy update! The regular game gets several buckets of stuff too in a kind of micro X-pack/overhaul like update. Antarans; Governors etc: http://forum.masteroforion.com/index.php?/topic/2132-master-of-orion-%E2%80%93-%E2%80%9Crevenge-of-antares%E2%80%9D-and-update-v546-patch-notes/
so, will there ever be linux version of "master of orion" on gog?

The official answer is definitely "No." Refer to this post.
Whats wrong with these updates (galaxy)?

I updated the game first (2.8 GB), then clicked the Elerian DLC and a 3 GB update starts!? With the other two DLCs I'll end up with a 12GB update or what?

thanks for reference !
well they won't see my money until they change their mind...
Finally starting to look like an updated version of MoO2. Not a bad thing at all.
Hmm. Nu-MoO may be worth checking out with this newest update. The current sale price definitely seems reasonable.

I must say that Elerian leader looks weird. Like she took the whole "space elf" thing a bit too far. Those cows are cute though. ;)

Advise: DO NOT USE GALAXY for the race updates. Just download the 4MB race files after updating the main game and install these. Otherwise 3GB updates with Galaxy all the time. While Galaxy will then shows MOO as not updated it will start just fine with all new races.

Maybe its my rose colored nostalgia but it feels like the Elerian are painted as even more warmongering than the Mrrshans; this with Grand Marshal instead of Empress feels... not right. Kind of. Not sure yet. And the good natured Trilians all being Cthulhu worshipers... oO
