The dhampir in the high castle.

<span class="bold">BloodRayne Betrayal</span>, a frantic side-scroller of supernatural slaughter, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount when purchased alone or 75% alongside the rest of the saga.

Eventually, death comes for us all. But if your last image is that of an unnaturally sexy redhead clad in tight leathers, then you should probably consider yourself lucky. Also, a vampire. For the undead are the prey of choice for Rayne, the alluring dhampir (vampire/human offspring) with a flair for stylized death-dealing and superhuman acrobatics.

This time, Rayne's relentless hunt for blood-suckers has brought her to a remote castle teeming with misshapen horrors of the night. A great culling is about to begin, and our leading lady can't wait to put her trusty arm blades and deadly high heels into action — as she hacks, slashes, and blasts her way through the perilous hallways. BloodRayne has always been about gunning or cutting down hordes of monsters, and <span class="bold">Betrayal</span>'s sleek anime art and challenging platforming bring Rayne's blood-frenzy to life in spectacular fashion.

Rain death upon the ugly undead in BloodRayne Betrayal, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 50/75% discounts will last until January 28, 1:59 PM GMT.
Well, Paypal still isn't working for me on GOG. I bought it with my card directly, so it's no big deal, I just wanted to point that out.
Thanks GOG for today's additions to various series. I'll pick up both, lest my GOG Bloodrayne & Anno sets be incomplete. :)
I'll say this...there are a lot of people who want to complete their series here. Surprising seeing so many poo pooing this release. I guess a lot of people just like to complain...

Thank you, GoG!

And please look into adding more games from other series already here. This is a step in the right direction. (This and Anno)

I'm a bit surprised, as well, and agree this is at least a step in the right direction.

Bloodrayne 1 and 2 weren't good games. We know this. But that doesn't mean that, by extension, Betrayal isn't good, either. It's by a totally different developer, and plays more like a 2D Devil May Cry. It's got a satisfying combo system, just the right level of challenge, and a great soundtrack. If you're on the fence, it's definitely worth giving a shot.

I mean... keep fighting the good fight as far as getting more interesting stuff on the store -- obviously, I'm all about that -- but don't become the ones to turn your nose up when something cool comes along.
An amazing drm-free release ! I already have it on Steam so I prefer to wait before to rebuy it here later !

It's a great Metroidvania with a perfect soundtrack from Jake Kaufman (Shovel Knight, Double Dragon Neon...)

I'm surprised the soundtrack is not included in the goodies !? You can find it in PWYW here.

For me, it's a Bloodrayne 2.5, but I don't have a lot of hope for Bloodrayne 3. The serie isn't very popular among new gamers and I don't see a AAA studio be able to take risks for a new episode...
A one star review already, that was fast.

I've got to leave the office ASAP, so I won't be able to work this out with you right now, but this looks like an interesting case that I would like to raise with PayPal. Glad to see you were able to make the purchase through different means.

Just so the rest of you don't get worried this is not a global issue. :)

Licurg, please open a Support ticket about this at your earliest convenience, and ask my minions to direct this case to me. I would like to take a closer look tomorrow.
Most importantly - in the ticket, please state exactly how you were trying to pay via PayPal - a credit card, funds already present on the PayPal account, an instant bank transfer etc.

I already had a case open on support about this. They told me to add funds directly from my card to my paypal account, but that didn't work either.

Again, it's really not a big deal or anything, you don't have to bother.

vicklemos: Here comes Zoidberg, aka "gimme my low rated on DAY 1" dude ;D
No, seriously, no idea what this is (edited the original to specify that). Doesn't ring well at all in my eyes. Not familiar with the series, I only knew about an episode or two (chich are in the "pack" too) but even those I do not know much about, but that last bit seems terribly outdated and out of place for a recent release (recent because I see it regionally priced).

And I don't care about the rating system, it's good for people not having the gut to actually expose their opinions (or not bothered to understand what's behind a post, why havs that guy that quoted me and joked about it being regionally priced got low rated exactly?), so they'll just attack the person.

But I think many folks have vocalized their opinion of your release thread antics and, thank god, have left it there. If they were to all complain - vocally - about you as much as you complain, release threads would be dead.

I complain when there's a reason too, and I praise when there's reason too. It really is just about little kids getting butthurt and stomping the ground in anger (and if they actually don't communicate anymore really only means that they didn't believe what they originally answered with). I'd rather have them all actually communicate with me instead of them expressing themselves as "violently" and anonymously as they can. War is better than talk as what's hapenning in the world is showing. *rolleyes*

This game is mediocre at best. I tried very hard to see the end of it but the controls were just horrible. Don't get too excited, guys.

GOG: the only place where a 'congolese' and a belgian can get along ;P
So let's not ruin the entire thing between us by playing thru Galaxy something "grotesque" as Victoria I or II, Europa Universalis or anything, shall we? :P
Don't want you conquering my rich bantu lands! :D

Prah: Too bad you couldn't get 75% off if you also owned the two other games. Oh well, still going to buy it :)

tischepe: Works for me, clicked 'checkout now' button in the 'Buy series – complete it' section and got a 75% discount in the shopping cart.
It wasn't like that for me :(

Yeah, I contacted GOG Support who hopefully can fix that :)

By someone thinking this is acceptable to play on a keyboard, no less.

It's not. Use a gamepad, or don't bother.
