Let’s be honest - you asked for it!

Arabian Nights is a classic 3D platformer which earned a group of devoted fans since its release in 2001. Set in a world taken straight out of the pages of One Thousand and One Nights, this game can bring you whole loads of fun.

Buy Arabian Nights before January 2nd 2020, 2 PM UTC to get it 10% off.

Dogmaus: This is one of those "it's so ugly it's beautiful" games, like the Mystery of the Druids.

Hastur.: Excuse me, Mystery of the Druids is a masterpiece of joy and wonder.

And also it doesn't have floaty controls and fall damage like Arabian Nights. I love Mystery of the Druids.
I love it too, in a way. I had tears flowing and my abs were hurting from all the laughing. But I'm not sure that it was SUPPOSED to be a comedy. If it also had that amazing acrobatic jump from Arabian Nights, then it would be the best game ever made.

Like I posted in the wishlist entry, everyone who voted for this better buy it! ;)

Mr.Mumbles: Huh. I didn't even know Silmarils was still around at that point in time.

Also, that game page within a game page within a game page... ;) .... Edit: Aw, they fixed it already.
I imagine it's the Rocques bros. and maybe other Eversim folks. I actually got in touch with Louis‑Marie Rocques about this title, I guess he and GOG and whoever else worked something out.

I also asked about Asghan: The Dragon Slayer so maybe that'll show up soon (though it has far fewer votes than this).

Damn, also thought it's that 2D platformer that I knew from the Amiga 500. Well, still looks fun. And all the "so bad, it's good" talk intrigues me. :D
Is the game similar to the Prince of Persia series?

It's a bad copy from PoP 3D. But yeah, it's a action adventure and platformer game inspired on the olds PoP and Tomb Raider series. Only not expect anything alike as PoP Sands of Time and forward games.

Judging from the speedrun, Arabian Nights only *sometimes* has fall damage, and is inconsistent about that. Bug perhaps?

(Then again, given what else I know about the game, and that there are plenty of out of bounds tricks used in the speedrun, it seems plausable that the game would have a bug here.)
Jessus Crist! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
When I played it back in the days, it was kinda hard to go through since I was a kid, and I always wanted to play it again ever since I moved on from my Pentium 3, but the game was nowhere to be found (and I left my CD in old appartment anfter move).
So many mmemories... Thank you very much for bringing them back!

Does the game allow the user to save at any time? Or is it checkpoints?
I know this game. It's a pretty good game if you ask me. Thanks GOG!
Oh lol, I remember a funny speedrun about this bad game XD

Dunno, I had fall damage consistently, at least on the level where you need to get the puzzle pieces.

Yes, you can save anytime, but I don't remember that it has checkpoints (sorry I haven't played it since a long time ago).
low rated
So "quality" isn't required to pass the curation I see. If it's a meme it's good enough? Ok.

Sorry for those who will inevitably tell me to lighten up, but I'll do that once GOG apologizes to Degica for rejecting their games. Ignorance of a genre isn't good enough when you're willing to sell actual kusoge.

There's a fast save/load feature in the game, and the game provides the option to restart an episode based on your (most recent?) saves, should you ever get stuck in an episode for whatever reason.

gibbeynator: This looks so much like PoP3D that I'm surprised it ISN'T PoP3D.
Same. Doesn't help that POP 3d was called Arabian nights in some regions, I got very excited until I saw the screenshots, he does look more like the prince from pop2 shadow and flame though so excitement became confusion

Wouldn't have been surprised if it was a costume change due to someone being offended at the time, but nope this is definitely a different title and I'm too lazy to see whom copied whom
