Aven Colony is now available DRM-free. Get it 75% off until the end of the Winter Sale (January 3rd, 11PM UTC).

Welcome to Aven Prime, colonists! We have exotic backdrops, advanced technology, and… deadly fungal infections? Shard storms? Aggressive local life forms? Perhaps this required more research but since we're here let's make the most of it: improvise, adapt, overcome, and make this our new home!

Grab the Soundtrack for your collection, 66% off (also until the end of the Winter Sale).
I remember bugging the Dev over this a while back, nice to see it here
Wow, looks like a nice builder game, love the sci fi theme. Very nice intro sale indeed!

i_hope_you_rot: Maybe on Christmas Island but December 27th is a workday in Central Europe .
It's a bad time to release anything new, it tends to get lost in the sea of holiday sales.
Looks interesting. Adding this to my "I wish I had a computer that could play it" list.

Khmm . Then why the two Bioshock games were released during the winter sale ?

Guys, chill out: those are all OLD games, that were already released, one this year, yes, but still already released.

Because they *are* lost in the sea. OK, i was just leaving anyway...
I get a strong Perimeter vibe from the trailer. Anyone know how this compares?
This game looks very interesting. But for not providing a Linux version it's still too expensive for me.
It might be good if GOG actually announced that there are new games on GOGconnect. I mean I couldn't tell that it's at least third batch of games during this sale if I wasn't actually looking just in case.
add achievements, please. and i'll buy it.

thanks! :)
This again: Typing 'Aven' in the search field turns up nothing, also looking in new releases there is no Aven Colony to be seen.
Looks nice, but as the game is nearly a year and a half old already, I'm guessing there's effectively no chance of a Linux release, eh?

Maybe you should give it 1 star review just to complain about the lack of Linux version like no doubt many other Linux users will. Maybe that will teach the developer not to ignore Linux users any further.

Maybe, in the spirit of the season, I'll try to interpret your comment in the most positive light imaginable.

Which I guess means that I have to consider that my previous comment came over... entitled and whiny to you?

Let me clarify that it wasn't meant as such. I'm sure that there's some Linux users who are at times entitled and whiny - we're simply human after all, with good days and bad - but in my experience, most Linux users are pretty reasonable most of the time.

I made my comment, as I'm hoping that someone at the developer/publisher will have a look at this thread, and see that there's someone (me) who has a positive initial impression of the game, and is wondering about availability on Linux. Now, I by myself am not going to cause this game - nor any future games by this developer / publisher - to suddenly show up on Linux. But I doubt that I'm by myself. I expect that there's many more Linux users who'll have shown signs of interest in the past, and will do so in the future, and I hope that at some point that will cross some threshold beyond which it becomes interesting for this developer / publisher to put work into making a Linux release possible. That point would be a happy point.

I'm not demanding anything. I'm not going to have a negative impression of this developer / publisher for not yet having released this game on Linux, and I'm realistic enough to realize that it's exceedingly unlikely for this particular game to ever be released on Linux. I think that's a shame, as the game looks like I might enjoy it - but oh well, there's so many other games that are released on Linux, that I'll get over it. :)
