As a former WoW addict,I want to get back to it but I can't afford paying a sub in the long run so I want a good F2P MMO.
I tried many but I just can't get the same feeling as WoW so I ask:Is there an MMO as great as WoW out there and isn't P2W?

There are no F2P games that aren't P2W. Skip F2P and go B2P - pay once and be done for the rest of the game.

Guild Wars 2 is a great game, and buying now will get the base + expansion that's releasing soon. I really like the cooperative play features; instead of competing with players for mobs and resources everyone can harvest and loot together, so people tend to naturally form groups for play and it's a lot more relaxed in PvE.

Elder Scrolls Online was also pretty good, and I hear it's very similar to WoW, you might like it.

The Secret World is nice and what I currently play off and on, but it might be a little too different than what you're used to, and the player count isn't the highest. I'd read about it and watch some gameplay videos before making any kind of commitment. You can usually pick it up super cheap on sale if you don't mind buying it on Steam. A plus is it doesn't need Steam running to play it.

Rift is a nice WoW replacement and has a talent system that's more reminiscent of classic WoW, it's pretty enjoyable without paying anything. But like most F2P games if you want to invest a lot of time into it you're going to start running into pay walls.

Guild Wars 2 is very nice, but after paying for the client it still has entirely too much "buy this with gems" bullshit, you can buy Gems with in-game currency but the exchange rate is atrocious.
My recommendation is don't!
Ha ha ha.. *wheeze*...
But I can't recommend anything since I've never found one that I found interesting.
SWTOR is great, don't let punks tell you that it sucks and it's pay2win because they don't know what they're talking about lol.

Then there's Champions online which was a lot of fun the last time I played it

Or you can spend a little money to buy Secret world which is pretty damn cool.
I've heard only positive things about Star Trek Online, and have an eye on the steam starter's pack :) If anyone played it with it is it worth it ?
TERA online i like it a lot but i dont know if you still can play it on some regions but you can try it and i think you will like it a lot :)

I don't like MMOs in general, but I have tried a few, and honestly I think it's the best one I know. It still has a lot of the usual MMO problems (repetative "kill X number of enemies" missions, very little, if any at all, of actuall role playing), but there is also a fair amount of interesting quests with good stories, space combat is really good, and it's fun to manage your own ship, your crew, go on away missions (though the ground combat is rather weak). It's not the Star Trek RPG I always wanted, but it's good. I did eventually get bored of it, but it took some time. And it really is free to play, I never felt like I need to buy stuff to enjoy the game.

Mind you, I have not played it at all in over a year, and such games change, so I don't really know if I'm still accurate.

I'm not a fan of The Old Republic. It feels like a game trapped between a single player RPG and an MMO, undecided in what it wants to be, and it ends up not being very good as either of those.

Rift

Ryzom (F2P up to lv 125) €8 pm if you want to sub.
Neverwinter is a F2P game. You can pay for extra things but it's really not necessary. Even the expansions are free.
"Outside" is a fairly good one. The textures are all very HD, gameplay is intuitive, and there are all kinds of tournaments and competitions you can take part in. The downside is that the whole thing is packed with microtransactions, and difficulty can ramp up quickly as there's no tutorial. Still - well worth the free download.
I have been playing Perfect World for about four years. Realy good game, have several classes to chosse and a lot of choices in the character creation.

In a few months, try wildstar. Its fun, has a great style, and awesome lore.
