That's a huge part of the problem. This was rigged so that people in Eastern Europe were guaranteed to win before anyone else was even aware there was a contest.

Wrong.
People in Eastern Europe were NOT guaranteed a win.

Being awake, and online here on GOG when this conpetition went live, and refreshing the home page at the right time so you saw the update about the goodies pack as early as possible, only guaranteed you had a chance. That applied to all GOG users globally.
Being quick enough to identify one of the codes and claim it, is what guaranteed the win, and that was open to all.

What I complained about earlier, I still stand by.
That there should have been thought in advance put into the running of this conpetition, to factor in timezones, and that when this conpetition went live, half the world would be asleep.
For a conpetition that was basically a global quick time event, that meant that half the world was instantly excluded from having any chance of even trying to attempt to snare a prize.

Hustlefan: Yeah, I've mentioned it or am I missing something?
No, I was missing the rest of my post. I went back and edited it.

BreOl72: To a) I understood the rules just fine...once I read them.
It really seems like that rather depends on where you read about it. It’s as if they had planned it to be something else and botched the execution.
Wallpapers goodie pack is fine : but that's really poor vs others gaming stores.

Now the "competition" with only 5 keys for the whole customers is really stupid.

I would preferred a free game even if i already had it in my library -> in this case every customers would have been treated "equally" regardless where they live and anyway even every customers with the more chance to find one of the key weren't on when the pack went live.
I just realised this trashfire will burn for 250 more hours.

Just think about that.

Gog:

To make a more simple non inflammatory give away, try this idea. Front page--> 1 logged in account with more than 5 payed for games, may click a button--> The button is to be entered into a raffle--> No advertising, nor any changes to the user account(free game advertising toggles)---> Choose a random winner after 3 days= ample time accross time zones.

ps- I do not care about these games I just suggest the idea, because I dislike all the negative response this thread has and prefer the users have a better frame of mind coming to gog.

edit: spelling typo.

The forums are appearing to turn Polish for some reason.
The downvoting of this goodie pack is the dumbest shit ever.

I believe staff have said in the past that polish law prevents certain kinds of giveaways. Also even if such laws wouldn't apply here, they'd of course have to have permission from the pub/dev to run the giveaway(s) in such a manner.

That said, I think this is a decent idea :)

This Rawcember Goodie Pack shows up as an Unknown Game in GOG Galaxy. I feel that these goody packs should be treated differently than games, Maybe they can have their own separate section of the app?

Seems like I missed the party because I didn't get any email from GOG in last 3 days. Last one was from 1st Dec and didn't mention this giveaway (even if it's not that special). Strange, usually I got like 1-3 emails a day.

Is it? The product was described at first glance as offering a random chance of a key. It was portrayed as something which was patently not the case. Is it dumb to rate it accordingly?
