Hello, i have tried to rate a game that i like and i was unable to rate it. Then i have tried another, then another, then another. I cant rate games without write a review anymore. Is this intentional, is it a bug or is it a problem on my side?

Thanks

You are one of the 800 people who live in Vatican City?
And you work for the Holy See as would be required to live there?

Doubtful.

Works fine for me. What browser? Do you clear cache and cookies (at every close would be best option, it at least once in a while), any plugins running which may affect?

So i have made some research, it seems that on the latest Chrome the rating is blocked by CORS policy. That should not happen on a JS that doesn't run locally. I didnt clear the cache but i did press CTRL+F5, that should clear the cache for the session. I have disabled adblocker. (Image 1)

Many new games totally lack ratings, it's like nobody is using GOG anymore or the rating system is buggy or disabled. (Image 2)

I will try to start the website on incognito.

And, BTW, i cant upload 2 images :D.

On GOG we can have privacy. Are you CIA or KGB?

So i have tried the website on incognito and it's working fine, even though i cant see rating for the new games. But the ratings do not work without incognito even after i have cleared the cache/cookies.

I despise lying in all its forms.

If you are embarrassed to reveal where you reside then use "Other".
That's what it is there for.

Also, people who hide their profiles and their countries of origin tend to be spambots and alt accounts used for nefarious purposes, so I refuse to answer any possible legitimate questions they may pose.

Dont speak like that to the Pope, sinner!!! shut up and let me enjoy this Russian Vodka :D.

What you and your tiny brain do not understand is that privacy should be by default on internet. Whoever is using this right should not be considered a bot.

I think there should be rights and regulations regarding the free speech and privacy on internet. Right now we cant even have real videos/images from the Ukraine war because all the accounts who are posting images from there and break the TOU of private help companies are instantly banned, and that is a problem. Criminals use Facebook and Twitter on a daily basis but it cant be used for public awareness or for real journalism.

How can we prove that the Russians killed civilians if all the footages from Twitter and Facebook have been removed? and why would ppl do journalism if they are going to be hunted by KGB for proving that their army killed civilians. Just a example why privacy is good and why good ppl should use it as much as bad ppl.

Personally I don’t use chrome, don’t like the Google association. I do have epic browser installed which is a chrome derivative, but that is for specific things. I use Firefox mostly and that works fine. I find that duckduck browser for phone also works. All I can say is have a selection available.

Thanks for the info, i have downloaded Epic Browser to give it a try.

But the problem with the website still persist. Maybe someone from GOG.com could take a look?

Epic has a built in vpn and is supposedly private. It’s been useful for some things. As I say Firefox is good. There are lot out there with various features. I doubt GOG will check, maybe during next week, but they don’t have a great history of fixing things. Best to find a workaround.

Thanks again for info. Indeed, Epic has some problems (no Google search) and i am sure that Tor offer a better privacy than Epic. Also, why they sell subscriptions to their own search engine when Tor is using DuckDuckGo safety?

Chrome or Chromium based browsers are the most popular so if there is a problem with GOG on this browser, a huge number of clients are affected. So i wonder why nobody reported this and also why so many games do not have any ratings, it's hard to believe that nobody buys them. On Steam the same games have lots of ratings and GOG clients usually rate the games that they own on Steam too.
