That was fast and welcome news even if i won't be buying it.
high rated
The headline should be 'RAGE 2 gets cracked within a day'.
As that is the only reason they got rid of Denuvo

Didn't even have DRM on their own storefront, so it was completely pointless to launch it on steam with Denuvo.
Does Denuvo come with a guarantee? lol

It ought to come with a disclaimer.
How much did denuvo costed? Unless it was free, the cost was way high.

Well guess why, the games was on certain sites on Day one.
Looked for some reviews, doesn t seem a good game though.

And they shame you for using the singleplayer offline mode heheheeh
Look up HEELVSBABYFACE video about that.
Hundreds of thousands of U$D.

10k Euro for an indie title, 50k for AA and 100k for AAA. I read that a while ago, on reddit, I believe.
As Nuffcatnip said: They only cracked it out because the pirate community did it so they decided it wasn't worth maintaining/they want to get those sweet sweet DRM-free gamer dollars.

Tbh when seeing how fast DRM gets cracked out of new games I don't see why they even bother anymore...well besides pandering to shareholders/board members who still see it as a viable strategy, that is.

This...lost sales to those who only buy DRM-free & it's ineffectiveness.

The pirate community didn't 'crack' anything here. The latest version of Denuvo on several games is actually uncracked for the moment.

The only reason this game was pirated day 1 is because they forgot or mistakenly put up a version of the game *without* Denuvo on Bethesda.net. End of story. At that point there was no reason to have Denuvo anymore since it was already too late with the un-DRM'ed version out there.

I´m not sure why they did it, I coudn´t bother to see if there is any official statement, not that it worth any thing in my book lol.
But props to Bethesda/ID, they did remove it. No complaints here.

About the real cost, I believe on today´s market nothing is so black and white. Probably there are royalities etc in the mix. TBH it doenst matter either.

I find it hard to believe that a company investing money into DRM protection would "forget" to upload the correct version to their store/etc(although weirder things HAVE happened before, I suppose).
