Can we expect more games in the near future ?

Have you contacted with the developers / publishers about the missing patches ?
Are you going to make easier for the developers to update their games ( especially the linux versions ) ?

Community have done a lot of work for GOG, for free.

Before Linko leave us, he said that linux version of Galaxy is not in the high priority list.

The new design have stayed for weeks and is still SUPER BUGGY, and you expect they will revert it? NO WAY!

In past few years, GOG have claimed several times that they will remove rep system.
But as you see, the stupid system is still here.

After seeing how GOG break everything with their super stupid new design, I hope GOG keep the current forum for us.
You know, the forum is the most stable part of GOG. I just do not want to get anything new from GOG.

I think answer is no...because big publishers don't like drm-free idea or have problems with gog because missing patches, curation system...

I never expected to read THIS.

Not liking the DRM-free idea - that's probably it. Regarding the patches that's up to the devs those publishers have a contract with. If you ever tried to get some of those mising patches here to GOG you will see that it's really not an easy task. Those devs are mostly overworked and often not interested in putting out updated versions to every store they sell their games. I also don't see how the cuation system should be a problem for publishers. It's no secret that GOG might reject some games too fast but we are talking about small indies here. It#s unlikely GOG would refuse AAA publishers here.

No way is GOG ever going to comment on some of those questions with any kind of real answer, especially the first two.

In case of the first two questions : Do you think posting a simple " yes " or " no " answer would hurt them ?
The last question has never been answered and never will.
Let me take a few wild guesses.
1: They are likely not allowed to disclose this information, legally.

2. As above.

3. Exclusive games? Eh. Maybe. Probably not.

4. They have, there's a system to it.

5. Who can say. A lot of rejected games tend to be some of the most obscure titles I've never heard of, judging by two recent threads.

6. Nobody ever reverts a design decision unless you really hit the beehive. I've only see it once in many years online. Tweaks will likely be applied in due time and GOG is hiring/reorganizing.

7. They'll likely throw out the forums and replace them at some point.

You mentioned SEGA, but I honestly believe I would have more chance of artistically plaiting my own sh¡t before they agreed to DRM-free releases. Developers under their banner, such as those making the Total War and Football Manager games, are full-on Steam[ing turd] fans, fully bought into the idea that it's THE solution to piracy of their games.

Of course, anyone with a modicum of knowledge how to use a search engine, knows that isn't the case. That said, while I refuse to pirate games, I also refuse to use Steam[ing turd] and as such, won't be playing any of their games.

It would be great if GOG could get SEGA to release some of their older games here, but I just can't see it ever happening.

No employee or owner here but I think I can guess the answers quite accurately.

There is no reason not to expect them.

We are in constant contact with the developers/publishers about anything including patches. We are constantly improving our systems including to make updating games as easy as possible.

The current systems are quite good as they are, but if we see that something needs change, we will change it. The curated approach clearly has its advantages and disadvantages. Complaining developers is one of them.

We only go forward and do not plan to revert. But we may apply some of the tweaks suggested by the community.

Maybe. We are discussing the repercussions of this. Don't expect anything in the near future.

EA, Activision, Bethesda, and a few others have titles here, and that requires contracts. As for exclusivity, fat chance. Future releases? They'd get announced when they come out, since these guys won't release here on release day of a game.
[Gog exclusive releases]
Can we expect more games in the near future ?
Nope.

They should, but i doubt this.
[Gog curration system]
I see many developers are complaining about the refusal of their games . Are you going to change the current system ?
Nope: complaints don't manifest in a way that hurts gog at the moment. GOG has the mentality that devs are bullheaded for turning GOG down, from what I can tell. GOG likes to think that they're the exclusive DRM free store, and that other stores aren't getting good things, since the other stores are just getting things they refuse.
[website design]
Are you going to revert it to the old one or apply the tweaks suggested by the community ?
GOG seems to be a very bureaucratic company, so fat chance of anything short of a massive 20 page thread in 24 hours will make a significant change based on community outrage. We've seen a few rejected titles land here, but other than that they seem not to respond to the community.
[forum]
Will you finally get rid of the rep system and apply a better moderation ?
I think they'll get rid of the rep system, eventually, but "better moderation" is subjective. My guess is that they'll sooner apply draconian measures before anything else. I think it's starting to hit critical mass at this point, since they kinda don't really seem to want a dedicated community manager, but at the same time they don't want to allow the wild west, either. I'm expecting them to end up getting rather liberal with their ban hammers, locking the forums to only be available during certain times of the day, etc.
Well i'm unimpressed .

Do you guys remember to the old days when we received official replies to almost every questions ?
