does GoG have uncensored games? Generally in order for games to get on Steam, nudity for said game has to be censored out. If I'm going to choose buy the neutered game, I'd rather buy it somewhere else where it is not neutered. So what are GoG's stance on nudity? do they allow games with nudity on their store so long as customers can prove that they are of legal age? If not, I guess I'll keep looking to see if there is somewhere that I can buy it.

The reason why I am so vehemont btw(just so that I get less people saying so hopefully) is not because I wanna fap, its because having the nudity in the game was I imagine, the developer's original artistic vision, and I wanna play their game in a form where thats not diminished.

For the most part yes but there are a couple of games that are slightly censored. One is one of the Gobliiins games and apparently Giants: Citizen Kabuto has a censored version of Delphi. Keep in mind that we are releasing versions as they were originally given to us by the publisher.

Also, Fallout 1, while it was here, was also the censored version with the invisible children. The Witcher games offered to Australians are censored due to their country's law and there's not much we can do about that, sorry.

edit: the German versions of games are also the censored ones, i.e. Shadow Man, the Commandos games, and System Shock 2. Again, that's how the German versions were made and we can't remove the German censorship on those.

edit: it's Gobliiins not Gremliiins sheesh :/ Thanks ZFR for catching that!

GOG does sell uncensored games. One example is Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy). I do recall, however, some games (like Gothic) having some censorship here.

I'm with the Op and as a collector of all the most violent and disgusting GOG has to offer I've never noticed anything missing. What's funny to me is Judas mentioned Fallout which is smart and sophisticated and has suffered censorship problems all while the crap I play like Postal and LSL are left totally alone. :P

Thanks I feexed it :D
Also, keep in mind that for Giants, the censored version is the version that appeared on the original CD when it came out. The "censorship" took place before it was published. So one could argue that if GOG is to release old games just like they were they should keep the censored version.

The fact that it can be uncesored with a simple renaming of one file makes this all a moot point.

For the most part, GoG brings in uncensored goodies. At least compared to other services, on this single aspect (and i dare say many more), it is the best by far. Not even mentioned the complete/collector's editions of games, that are offered here, too.
It's a shame we don't have a choice in this matter, like at least some freedom of choice...
And while we're on the topic, could anyone confirm for Germany and Australia, when is the country check taking place? At time of purchase or at time of download. So if an Australian goes abroad (or uses a non-Australian IP), can he download the uncensored game from his library?

You always have a choice, brother... Buy the censored, smuggle for free the uncensored. Everybody wins. Except for the old coots who invented that stupid law which prohibits the trading of your desired goodies.

No. When you buy something, the region check kicks in. In the past, i had Australia listed as my country. Don't ask me why.

What the hell can you censore on Goblins? Even now in 2015 then..

Also is this info stated in the game cards?
I always want non-censored version of everything I play\watch.
(or at least a way to fix it easily)

There's a certain calendar in one of the games that's censored. It's on a wall and just part of the scenery :)

So far, there isn't any censorship for Germans. We get the same games as (almost) everyone else. It's only if I choose to download the German language version of certain games that it's censored.
