IronArcturus: Pulsar looks interesting! How is the singleplayer mode? Does it work with an Xbox 360 controller?
Single Player is how I play it using Bots to take care of the other roles.

There is and AI preset you can download which I recommend to adjust their AI from the default settings.
You can also tweak various aspects of each AI.

I've found them (Bots) to be good, definitely the Pilot Bot which obviously has more visibility on it's functioning.

There are maybe close to a dozen Controllers with default support that I recall - I believe the Xbox Controller is one of them as it is more common.

I use the Mouse and Keyboard, so I can't really comment on how a Controller works in game.

Starmaker: Well they're not "like" GOG, in that they're shittily maintained, as Humble apparently leaves maintenance and choice of format to the devs (we here complain when GOG messes up, but Humble is on a whole new level), but yes.
